Backup.
Just lost my queue for the nth time and need to know how the backup rar's are created. The latest rar is dated 12 days ago. Is there a setting to auto backup every time you exit the app.
Have ended up with another 900 mb database.script and 42 mb databse.txt after another failed start. Is there some log that records how or why this occurs. Win xp sp3, Jre 17. Thank you. Last edited by Jiaz; 16.09.2010 at 17:15. |

900mb datavase script. how many links do you have???
the file should not be lager than mayb 10mbyte max. autoupdate is not available at the moment. backup is done on every jd update and on manual *file-menu-backup* or ctrl+b

!5482 links. File is usually 14 mb but periodically goes nuts.
Am now looking at autohotkey to routinely backup files but please consider adding autoupdate functionality. Thank you. |

I think it's not good to have so many links in jD. Your file might be corrupt.
Do you keep your downloaded links in jD? Note that links can expire and you need to verify a download set before you start downloading it. |

Please update Java to version 6u21 (the current version).
Many links in JDownloader will slow things down, but I have tested over 50000 links. Since you seem to be having strange problems, please try the following: Use Ctrl+b to backup your database. Exit JDownloader In the JDownloader\backup directory, you should find zip files that are your backups. Sort by date and open the newest zip. Copy the contents of the zip file to the JDownloader\config diretory. Restart JDownloader. As remi suggested, it is a good idea to select all of your packages, right click, and select Check Online Status. This will take about 1/2 hour to communicate with each of the hosts and check which files have been deleted and which still exist. |
