Default Why does database.script linklist go corrupt so often?

I can usually tell at this point, i check the database.script and see how big it is, if it goes over 10mb i know i'm screwed, but why is it so fragile?

is there a way of forcing more frequent automated backups that are dated so they don't over write each other with corrupt versions eventually?

its really fustrating to have to recreate link lists, even backups are a day out of date at the least.

i've seen it go corrupt when safe linking went into a crazy captcha loop, when my drive ran out of space and then the linklist was half its normal size, and when mediafire password prompt was corrupt, and invisible and locked the interface.

this time my database.script is grown to over 100mb and i don't know why yet... sigh.:(
