I tried now a reinstallation, but no chance.
Reinstallation was done using the download with 1.6 here and tested on a snow leopard.
after installation software gots automaticly updated, decrypter gots updated and it freeze the userinterface.
Can you pls give us some advise here how to fix this?

PS: it was working for month now on regular bases without any unusual hassel. we had that in the past that an update blocked jd for days. How can we avoid such things and would it be possible to get a download for the last version without getting this update?

Edit: Updated Version on Snow leopard, download queue is empty, 2 premium hosters enabled, fresh start of JD.
some dlc container downloaded and now click on open Container, NO Dialog and after secound click on open Container JD freeze. End of storry no Copy&paste link, no load container the whole thing is just not working after the update on snowleopard. Lets hope that tomorrow is a better day with some fixes for this :-)

No double / triple posts are allowed, please use edit button - read the forum rules!

Please until someone give you a reply about the problem - I have not access to JD 0.9.581 logs, only to JD2 logs, btw.

Default File Connection Freeze After Program Update

After I updated to the new version, when I go to download, it's basically frozen on connecting. It says "Connecting" for the file its downloading, indefinitely, never changing and that was idk, 3? hours ago, if not longer.

Then I tried closing the program, re-opening, and trying again and the same thing. Log file is attached in a rar file (was too big to attach in its original txt form).

Also, I should note I have it set where it should download 2 files at a time but it only tries to connect to the one and freezes. I even tried disabling that file and so it could start downloading a new one and the same thing happens to that one and so on... and it never downloads 2 at a time, or even "Connecting...." with 2 files.

It's just broke this morning, about an hour ago, right after the latest update. Yesterday morning it was working fine (which was probably before the previous -- second to last -- update was released).

Since it broke after the time of your post, the problem has not been fixed.

Also, as the setting tab doesn't work, there is no way to follow these instructions http://jdownloader.org/knowledge/wik...reate-a-jd-log in order to create a log.

I'm running 10.6.8 on a MacBook Pro. Activity Monitor shows JDownloader in an endless loop using "100%" CPU.

Thanks

Hi all. After a second update this morning my JD freezes when it starts downloading files from any source and it is incredibly slow in whatever task (5' for opening log window). After a cycle of restart/reboot is slower than ever. JD 0.9.581 on OSX 10.6.8/2 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo/4GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. I post a file with the last saved log. There is a SEVERE -->Webupdater offline or nothing to update, but the update worked fine twice this morning.

Hey, why not give a try to JD2?. If you don't want, at least use/try JD2 until the problems get fixed for JD 0.9.581.

Mac OSX Snow Leopard 10.6.8 users - As another one suffering from freezing/crashing JD since the latest update, I think I may have stumbled upon a fix. I checked the box for "Open in 32-bit mode" in the JDownloader Info window, and so far I've been able to download from both 180upload and youtube. And JD has been running for nearly an hour now without freezing or crashing, even when adding URLs. Knock wood!

I hope this helps some of you, but please note I am definitely NOT a tech person. It was just a stab in the dark that actually seems to have worked.

Good luck!

Yes, it works for me too. Waiting for an ultimate solution from the team, it's actually "the" solution. Thank you.

OS 10.9.5 user here and the only thing that stops the freezing is the videochick solution above. Great thinking!

To all the developers - I love this app. Hope you are able to find and fix this issue. Thanks for all you do!

Also having issues even after the minor update. 10.8.5 on a Macbook pro.

Problems started after the huge update. Smaller update didn't help at all. keeps crashing after about 1-2 minutes. I can't even get in for long enough to get log files. sorry, not much help. Will try JD2 beta just cause..

Hi, Last night I too suffered the same freezing issue. It has not happened ever before. After extreme freezing and force quit, I did a restart and it allowed me to update my version.

This then froze again when grabbing a link. I have deleted totally and added again. Ran through all its updates but then on a link, it froze again.

I know that logs will be required, will try get these next. Running 10.9.4 and all worked fine two days ago.

Any ideas of changes? Cannot think it's only impacting me.

T H A N K Y O U

21st September

Update OS to 10.9.5
Updated Java to 67
Restarted JDownloader
Stil freezes - only way to clear is force quit and restart. If you try re open it retains link and attempts to decrypt
Tried disabling Firefox add on (as not using it anyway)

Latest log

http://jdownloader.org/pastebin/131373

Froze after log production this time.

Jdownloader version = 0.9.581

Guessing don't need to raise support ticket?

Thanks in advance!

Followed Lram32 signature and using JD2 - works fine!

Olivier75009 - Hiighlight JDownloader icon in any finder window. Right click and scroll to "Get Info." The 32-bit mode option will appear in the pop-up.

Default Freeze after freeze...

Hi,

I'm using a MAC OSX 10.9.4 and JD has always worked well (well, most Java apps suck, and the interface is ugly and so on but it downloaded files).

Suddenly one day it froze and then even after reinstall it, open and close, reboot...i tried everything i could imagine, it keeps freezing after about half a minute of use. It's so frustrating:outch::outch:

This is what it said the last time http://jdownloader.org/pastebin/131370

What can I do??
