Default [Question/Newbie] Streaming with JD is possible?

Hello JD community,

First of all thank you for your forum and your help. I am very happy to be here!

I just knew JDownloader a few hours ago, and I was looking and searching for some info that I wasn't capable of to find. Sorry about that.

At university I was talking with some random guys that told me that some websites streams videos using JD. They have Chrome/Firefox extensions/addons that redirect some pages (I think that the only purpose of the addons are collect the video URL and comeback to the website).

They now use HugeFiles, KingFiles and VideoShare. They also use FireDrive, SockShare and BayFiles a couple weeks ago, but now they replaced them.

Is this possible to do? If so, please tell me where should I start (do you have any documentation about that?).

Thank you very much for your support.

Well officially not (yet).
They must have modified JD to do this but if you for example download a .mp4 file, you can open it while downloading (using the VLC player).

EDIT

An official stream feature is not yet fully implemented - still needs a lot of time!

You mean the VLC = VideoLanPlayer?
You can get this via Google - its just a simple videoplayer.

Ok then do as I said, just throw the unfinished files in your VLC and you ll be fine.
Note that when using multiple connections this might not be possible.

They have a player (like JW player or Flowplayer) where the video plays.
