Exclude non-fileshare http links
Well, how can I do this in jdownloader 2?

As far I know, you can't do that.

Why exactly do you want to do that?

Because I hate it when jdownloader adds links to random pictures or youtube videos (luckily i was able to exclude youtube videos from linkgrabber) and such when I copy their urls. I installed jdownloader to be able to efficiently download links from fileservers, not to be bothered every time I copy a link that ends with .jpg.

Then add a rule to filter the .jpg files and others that you want to filter in the LinkGrabber tab. Create a rule and only write the type of the file extension, for example: jpg, png, gif, etc.

Oh my god man... I appreciate your "help" but youre not helping at all.
I do not want to filter .jpg files, that was just a goddamn example, I simply want to exclude all non-fileserver links from the linkgrabber as I stated in a thread name and as I depicted in attachment. I do not need to argue with anyone as to why do I need to do that or why does one even need that option, that option obviously makes perfect sense otherwise it wouldnt be included in jdownloader v1, am I right? I dont want to sound hostile, so Im politely asking you to stop replying to this thread if you do not know the answer to my question (which should occur to you quite naturaly to be frank...), can you do that? Thank you very much. |

Sorry that's not possible in JD2. The host panel is no longer and far as I'm aware it wont be coming back either. You will need to use link filters to exclude what you do and don't want. Alternatively you can disable clipboard monitoring and add links via browser extension via external interface API (used for flashgot and clicknload) or you can use the 'add links dialog' within JD instead. This will effectively limit what can be imported, by your digression vs what we listen to on the clipboard.

Allright, are you guys planning to add that option in near future or should I rollback to Jdownloader v1?

Sorry I refined my previous post, but as you've already posted, I'll post again so you will get notification ;]
If you want to deselect hoster plugins your best bet is to roll back. Just keep in mind that 0.9 plugin update cycle is few and far in between compared to JD2.

Yeah well... Those are quite "improvised" solutions to the problem.
I mean, if i filter *.jpg it would help 90% of the time but what if i copy a set of links from lets say rapidshare and one of them will end with .jpg (DVD cover file for example). That will get filtered anyway. See what the problem is? In first Jdownloader all this hustle could be solved with a single tickbox and now youre telling me thats not possible anymore and it wont be in future? Well so much for improving stuff in V2 am I right? :'-( |

I really can't say your right or wrong as its more opinion and that you're entitled to have one.
The main reason we went down the path of no hoster panel && enable/disable, etc.. is: our new plugin system loads and updates plugins without restarting. A host panel would need to read all plugins on start and after updates order to be current all the time. Effectively slowing down JD2 new performances gains. Filters whilst a little more time consuming to make (end users perspective) are more powerful / effective as you can can get the same outcome without the performance loss. It also allows for other possibilities for example, allow a component of the site to be blocked but allow the rest of the plugin features to work.. Say you want images but not archives you can do that.. you can also do it based on filesize, hoster, source (say allow from one decrypter but not others), etc. filtered results are actually present but not displayed, you click the restore button, all links are kept until restart/cleared. Alternatively is not to filter add the links you want and flush ctrl + a & del linkgrabber. You can also use the side panel type filter (checkbox) for images. or as you might prefer revert to a older version which allows you to disable plugin use. raztoki

Well, can a reverse filter be created?
I mean, as I can create a filter saying "if url includes XXXXX ignore it", can I create a filter saying "if url does not include XXXXX ignore it" and paste all the file-servers supported by jdownloader 2 as "XXXXX"? |

Already possible.
contains contains not equals equals not is is not etc I have a question, and I don't want it to come across rude.. But have you actually looked at the link filter at all before 'asking your questions / statements / objection to change'? raztoki

Yes I did, but i did not find a way to make it work. I tried with mupltiple urls in the filter, with a single one etc. but I did not make it work correctly.
I used a classic filter (ignore if includes youtube.com) almost instantly after installation and its working great since then, but I cannot get this reversed one to work. |

Sorry forgot to make screen shots. So if you have a limited amount of hosts you want to listen to you can do so by this example. Tested and working (as it blocks everything as my example isn't true host..)
The example rule I made I kept a simple as possible, I used regular expressions over wildcards, blocks all hosts but the ones I want... you can expand this more by allowing or disallowing file types or filenames. It's very powerful filter now, so just experiment and give some feed back if you want more help. Main issue we have is the directhttp plugin accepts any host (think the host is the host of the imported link), so until we can quickly do simple widespread block based on the plugins 'name' reference which would be 'http links', you can not block all direct links which are copied / found from deep analyse. Blocking on 'name' reference would be best approach in my opinion as it wouldn't block directhttp returns say from decrypters (we return images from image hosts/anime/manga plugins) I added 10 random links from youtube for example hope this helps raztoki

at the moment you can try to disable the advanced setting: GeneralSettings: Direct HTTPCrawler
