Why can I download most other things on JD (YouTube, non-Captcha downs, etc), if JD log reports 'volume is dirty." There is nothing wrong with my HD.

Whenever I open JD2, Chrome goes crazy and keeps opening up tabs or pop-up windows every 5 secs. or so (for a sec. or two, and then they pop away).
