further investigation, it seems to be only...
further investigation, it seems to be only certain links which I think are also linked to reCAPTCHA links. Mayhaps the anticaptcha and the recaptcha are somehow causing problems?

This worked for me also, Win 7 32 bit OS, was working fine for weeks until two days ago and then started hanging on connecting... or stoppping all downloads I was having to force shutdowns etc....
