so what ever causes this is patched in mpv. and it is not xdg or jdownloader fault.
I think we can close this issue.

btw for those interested I remember testing this...

btw for those interested I remember testing this (when I reported it) in both Xorg and wayland, and they both failed.
so I dont think it is X related and also in my experience wayland is not stable...

I have set my font scale to 130%
when JD updates and restarts the font used is again 100.

as in, if youtube is blocked (and googlevideo too) you can still watch and download it.
the instance acts as a proxy.
