if you can't copy content to start with... clearly there is your issue. making the interval shorter wont fix the issue, it will also increases cpu cycles as jd is performing checking tasks more often.

jd clipboard monitoring does have delays (only checks clipboard on short intervals) so if you copy the first object then second too fast you can miss findings from the first.

you shouldn't loose links, links are only held in memory for short period before saving to disk. Changes to configs should auto save every 10 seconds or so depending on demand/buffers etc.
