well, i tested it several times on different machines with same results, when updating from an older version, it broke the mexashare plugin, it only worked when updating from a recent upgrade. I usually do not upgrade unless a plugin needs upgrading, for example before i posted this thread, i had not updated JD for more than a year and only updated for the mexashare plugin, i have JD on four machines and i had updated three of them when the mexashare plugin was updated, however today i decided to update JD on the fourth computer with bad results for the plugin so i ended up using the folder from one of the other computers. By the way the older version was from 2016.
