I have the same problem as xAx, also on Ubuntu 64Bit.
let me know if I can provide any additional info to solve this.

edit: just some further info: I dont think it depends on the hoster: You can add a file with multiple mirrors. Start downloading from one mirror. If download is in progress and you delete the other mirrors from the list, there is not file downloaded.
