Disabled adblock. Still nothing. Its just a browser extension, cant see any relation to JD anyway.

I don't think M$ tries to force anyone to use anything. That's Apple for you. M$ bundles Internet Explorer and Windows Media Player merely for convenience because majority of computer users don't mind using the default applications to get their job done. If these general purpose applications didn't come bundled with the OS, many would have been nice guying about having to download third party apps. (Btw, I think Windows Media Player is brilliant for managing music collection via the library, far better than any music app I have ever used.)

The firewall is there for the same reason, to protect novice users who aren't bothered about security or don't want to pay for commercial firewalls. Again its there keeping in mind the convenience of the customers. One can easily turn it off with a single click.
