Thanks for your reply. I've concluded that I must have manually changed the default directory when installing JD2. With that in mind, I apologise for wasting your time with what was a simple oversight on my part.

This does bring up the question: Apart from obvious security factors, is there any other benefit to JD2 installing to AppData, rather than to Program Files? Specifically, most apps install to Program Files but keep other data in AppData. Why does JD2 pack everything into one directory? Ease of use on your part? Benefit to end-user? Something else?
