There has been no changes at all and JDownloader updates don't cause crashes. If java crashes, then it creates a hs_err file in your JDownloader folder. Please either upload it here or send to
support@jdownloader.org
Also check firewall/av as those might simply kill JDownloader because thinking there is something bad in mega download
