ffmpeg: Yes, just type in the new path including ffmpeg.exe and ffprobe. When you hit enter, JDownloader will validate the path

memory: in your about dialog you'll see three numbers in java line. the 2nd one is near/same as 3rd one. that means the memory usage is at its limit. You should increase available memory. In your JDownloader folder you should find a .vmoptions file
Close JDownloader and open the .vmoptions file with notepad
remove any existing Xmx or Xms line and add new
-Xmx1g
to allow max up to 1GB memory
then start JDownloader again and the last (3rd) number in java line in about dialog should reflect the increased memory
