Default Stop means "STOP"!

Something about JD has caused me some annoyance, anger and stress for years now.

sometimes when there is an issue connecting, a download will get stuck on "starting..." for a really long time while JD tries to connect. I really wish JD would give up sooner and retry. this connection issue is not what I am reporting as it is an issue with my proxy and not JD

But what really annoys the like out of me the most is when I disable the stuck download or stop all downloads but it don't likeing STOP. what part of "STOP what you are doing right now" does JD not likeing understand?

Whats even more frustrating is when I stop all downloads, I cannot start or force start any downloads until the stuck download likeing times out or whatever. the only way to resolve it quickly is to kill JD and reopen. its maddening

When I tell it to stop, I mean right now

Please fix this issue!
