I have had FFmpeg installed on both systems for ages so unless something has changed there not sure.
If your seeing no reference to FFmpeg in JD2 then how best to fix it for both OSes?
Here is a screen shot of the older machine with FFmpeg running and the about screen abd also an about window showing it is in the cfg folder under toos etc too:
