I really need a full log. I also need to know exactly what version of Windows you are running that is having trouble. Is it Vista x64 SP2? Vista x64 SP1 has a bug that I can send you links for a fix, but upgrading might be better.

If JD works on your XP machine, but not on your 64 bit Vista, then you probably need to follow the instructions in the Advanced System Cleaning thread http://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=12464&
This talks about how to remove dangerous pieces often left behind by old antivirus software after you uninstall it.
But First, get me a log and tell me your OS version!
