Thanks appreciate the update before Xmas. When I woke today it finally showed an update available. This is what I ran into though as an FYI for others if they run into problems. and JD seems to be updated now properly
Unfortunately when I clicked on update it failed with the following error message:

I tried this twice an it didn't take completely either time so I closed JD and restarted it.
JDLauncher managed to apply the update though and it seems ok for now.
All is not lost
