Yes, I have Java v8.25 installed and other than the skin issue JD2 works perfectly.
Edit: I don't know if this may be the reason but JD2 is installed at F:\Program Files (x86)\JDownloader while JD1 is installed at C:\Program Files (x86)\JDownloader
