By default JDownloader does not create any subfolder for extraction Only (with subfolder packagizer rule) the file will be downloaded in subfolder with name of package. you can check in dowload directory column if this is the case or not. If the archive contains a subfolder, then this one will be extracted as well. Have you disabled the subfolder rule like advised?
