Hi guys,

I've got a lot of "temporarily unavailable" these days while downloading youtube. What's going on? I used to have that maybe twice a week before and now it's several time a day. That's kinda annoying when you download a large video and you have to start all over again because the only way to "fix" the issue is to reset the download :(

I'm using JD2, latest update of course.
(It happens with all kinds of videos, 30MB files as well as 1+GB ones)

I dl 0-1724MB videos from youtube without any issues. As generic report as yours is, please post logs so we can determine more.

If you are doing a lot simultaneous downloads, please reduce the amount, try with one or two. Some time ago, I saw a similar problem, but was caused because the user was doing a lot of simultaneous downloads.

Well I still have the issue.

Failed at 90+%.

Here is the log.

11.09.13 17.29.24to11.09.13 17.29.35 jdlog://1617170118731/
Is there a possibility for me to see what's in the log? (Edit found it)

Thanks.

@raptor2003

all issues seem to be resolved around one download link retrying over and over. best bet is to right click reset, resume wont work on that link anymore
Typical tell is.. HTTP/1.1 416 Requested range not satisfiable

You are right, but it happens almost everyday with different links. When you don't have a super speedy connection, it takes some time to start over again.
And sometimes I have to do it 2/3 times for one single file.

It used to work fine.
Everything is downloaded correctly at the end, but takes more time that it should.

Edit: I'll try the old jdownloader to see if I have the same issue.

Works fine for me, If you are using JD 0.9.581, please try in JD2 (beta).

P.S.: Merged YouTube threads...

Probably is caused by the chunks per download, and the simultaneous download. I had had a similar issue but reducing the value of them, has solved the problem.

Seems your JD2 log does not contain information of YouTube, please reproduce the problem and create a new log.

Older versions of will never be reliable due to update system. Also they have inherent issues like not been able to login etc. Please make sure you use JD2 if you want a more successful youtube experience.

Problems with the download speed are not caused by JD.
Reduce the max chunks per download (set one), also check if your AV/FW is not blocking something.

Edit: Merged youtube threads...
