Default Is there a way to automatically prepend a number to each file name?

I'd like to have each file in the download queue saved like this this:

001_File_name1
002_File_name2
003_File_name3, etc...

Is this possible?

Hi,
depending on how the files were named before, yes.
See Settings --> Packagizer --> Add new packagizer rule.

OK, I added this in to a new rule: <jd:indexof>_<jd:orgfilenamewithoutext>.<jd:orgfiletype> and now all indexes are 1. It's not being incremented. What am I doing wrong?

OK, I solved this by unchecking "Information overwrites packagizer rules" in Analyse and Add Links dialog box. What's the purpose of this setting anyway?

If you have a rule you would normally want it to be applied to all URLs which JD automatically picks up when you e.g. add them via clipboard observation.

If add links via "Add links dialog" this implies that you e.g. want to set a custom packagename or filenames --> Thus you can use that checkbox to enforce ignoring all packagizer rules.

This is especially useful if you e.g. use JD headless with usage rules and cannot easily disable packagizer rules over JDs GUI
