partial download of Twitch.tv VODs
Hi!
I'd like to request support of downloading a specific part of VODs. Preferably with user definied starting and ending points. Don't know if that helps but there is an URL parameter that can specify the starting point for browsers, which seems to look like the same as youtube's: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** |

I'd actually decline this because maybe users often add such links by mistake and then they'd wonder why they do not get the full video.
Please wait for opinions of other users on this.

Alright, although the link with the timestamp was just an example of implementation.

Yes - settings for this are of course also possible - just saying lets see if there is more demand for such a function

I would appreciate such a setting, because the streamer that i follow almost always starts with a song that Twitch will mute it. So for ~4 minutes of muted part i can't download the entire stream because JD2 will download the entire VOD without sound.
 An up vote for OP's initiative. |

Please tell me why JD will download the complete stream without audio even though the audio is only missing for a specified part.
...bnut you know that JD can download the "only audio" parts as well? EDIT And please post examples for this case!

Here's a test link for my issue: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**.
I've download both the original video (.mp4 file extensions) and the one with Extracted Audio Stream (.audio file extension). Both versions tested in VLC, Media Player Classic and BsPlayer have no sound at all. As you can see in the link provided, only the beginning of the stream is muted by Twitch because of their Copyright Policy. |
