Default Stopped Files Get Corrupted

Hello. I have been using JD for many many years and I love the tool. However, 1 or 2 months ago, something happened and, whenever a file is stopped while downloading, it gets corrupted after restarting.

So let's say I start downloading these 3 files.

File1
File2
File3

File1 completes downloading, while File2 is downloading, I close Jdownloader or Windows restarts, or Windows crashes (very uncommon the crashes), when it resumes, there is a second File2.part and the File2.mkv file, but File2.mkv won't play.

Any ideas? Thanks.

@kwanbis: In case of OS crashes file corruption may happen but on normal close of JDownloader this should not happen at all. There have been no changes in download core since years and no such issues are known. What do you mean by *there is a second File2.part and the File2.mkv* ?
what host are those downloads from? because .part file is incomplete/unfinished download whereas .mkv file sounds like the download is finished. In case there is post processing involved, there might be issues when not properly stopped the post processing. That's why I need to know which hosts/downloads this happen for you?

Thanks for reaching out. I found out that some files are having this problem even if I don't stop JD2.

The files are being downloaded from Mega.

Lets say I am downloading a series of MKVs.

File1.mkv
File2.mkv
File3.mkv
File4.mkv
File5.mkv

When I go to check how it ended, instead of all MKVs, I see:

File1.mkv
File2.mkv
File2.part
File3.mkv
File4.mkv
File5.mkv
File5.part

And File2 and File5 cannot be played.

I can upload some samples if you need them.

By the way, I am using real-debrid, could it be that?

Yes in the past there have been numerous issues caused by using multihosters with MEGA.

Simply manually re-download those files via browser using real-debrid to verify if that was the cause.

Then download it over mega directly (without real-debrid) and check if the file is fine now.

@kwanbis: you should either disable free mega download or disable mega for real-debrid, see
https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...-free-download
Right now a mix of mega/multihoster will result in broken file as mega download is encrypted while multihoster downloads often are already decrypted and thus can't be resumed with one or another
