You moved the jD folder to another location, because you're using Vista/W7...:whistling:

I found this thread via the search function.
I have the same problem, but I don't understand why it exists. Windows is installed on C and all my games and programmes on D. I've always installed JDownloader in D:\Programme and wanted to that now again (new Windows installation), but the message: "Warning! ..." appears. I can choose a language and a folder and then JD opens as it should. But on every start, the message appears again. I know this was different with my old Windows installation. Do you have an idea? Thanks. |

install jdownloader into non program files folder, where windows does not block write access

It is not a "program files" folder, it is just a folder named "Programme" (German). There is no access which is blocked. And as I said, this is exactly the same direction I installed JDownloader before.

close jd
go to your jd folder create config folder if it does not exist yet start jupdate.jar in case it still does not work, please rightclick on folder security tab, and give your user FULL CONTROL rights

It does not work.
Every user has full control rights. As I said, JDownloader starts correctly after this message, so everything should be okay, but this message is a pain. |

It works now, I don't know what I did. I even made a new clear installation, the message appeared again several times, but it seemed I just needed to be some time in JD and now the message is gone. Don't ask me why... Thanks though for your help!
