@roflmywaffle
yes you can.
just be aware that the first started JDownloader will bind to APIs listen ip:ports which are used for clicknload/flashgot etc..

Default Linkgrabber not grabbing

New user here, after a few weeks of utilizing JB2 I fairly well understand how to use. Suddenly no links submitted to "+ Add New Links" return any downloads. Dialogues asking if I want to process channel list comes up (as usual) and nothing is "found". Known to be URL that should return some hits. I have tried turning all filters off - no change. Only posts I found here on board suggest turning right hand panel options off - No change. I am familiar with how that works , I able and disable 'Views' options often.

Under SETTINGS: LinkGrabber filters, I only have been using what came default with intallation of JB2. Tried turning all off, back on, no change.
Test Filter interface from that screen does not locate any hits either. Known to URLS with hits.

This has happened before, I give up, (not seeing where change could have been introduced in my configuration) usually comes back on next day, following no configuration changes.

Today, no luck. No links are hitting 'found downloads'. Normally, they would collect and be accessed in tab on "Add New Links" ,, "Package Name" bar on lower area , saying "Refresh (xx) Links" (i think that is what it was titled) I would click and they would populate in my main window for review and then acknowledge to proceed for download.

Dead in the water.

Not sure of procedure for posting log,
here is the info dialogue generated:

16.02.15 16.58.34to15.02.15 13.29.17 jdlog://3615786763241/

Today, the sample link is working here. I am getting packages.
One thing is different today: There is no "Refresh Downloads" button in menu bar as I described yesterday. In past, this was how JD2 was working, I would click "Refresh.." and the hits would populate the LinkGrabber main window.. Today I get the "Add all to download list" (as will be indicated in the screenshot.)

One difference: Today I am at a private internet wifi,
yesterday was at public library.

JD2 was working most of the time at library in past,
I do not think their filtering/ could be the problem.
I can try there tomorrow, same Youtube link.
I will not change any other settings in my installation.

Will try to post screen shots next, the msgboard interface would not accept them yesterday, and I ran out of time.

Shots from yesterday, 2/15. No hits.

Screen shots from today, finding hits. Same link.

Under Settings/LinkGrabber filters

@widespace

one log contains

Code:
Connection-Time: 169ms
----------------Response------------------------
HTTP/1.1 429 Too Many Requests
youtube probably has blocked you due to the amount of requests sent. Since you are using it from a share internet connection and there are probably others on youtube also, so it may not be entirely caused by you!

outside of that, everything works as we designed

My english isn't good, I'm not sure if you guys did understand that when you download the files from youtube, the download (not the pages opened to get the download link) doesn't go encrypted to your computer, therefore, any ISP will know what videos people watch on youtube if the ISP have any kind of script that reverse searches the video by some way or if the download filename on youtube shows the ID or hash of the video, I know it is possible to make the download go encrypted.

Hi guys! I just wanted to know if there's a way to convert/demux DASH videos one at a time rather than multiple files at once. I usually download many at the same time and when they convert/demux at the same time, my computer slows down to a crawl. Jdownloader2 used to do this but when I reinstalled it, it went back to converting/demuxing multiple at a time.

Thanks again, guys!

I've a few questions about JD2 BETA i'm using :

a)whenever i download a Youtube video it get downloaded fine but the Audio & Video is out of synch ?

b)I noticed if i disable the DASH (Youtube: Extern Multimedia Tool Usage) the size of a downloaded video of the same resolution of youtube is getting bigger so that means it differ in Quality as well ?

for example if i grab a youtube video called X in 720p while the DASH disabled the size of this video is bigger than grabbing it while DASH enabled @ the same 720p ..

And finally I've uploaded a video to youtube that is about 400 MB (720p) when tried to grab it with my JD2 BETA the size of the video (Best Quality & in 720p) is about 240 MB ?

thanks in advance .

a.) please provide example links. never had such an issue
b.) without dash you can only download lowres versions of youtube. Can you provide example links?

You never get the uploaded Video File Youtube always converts to their own codec settings. You upload a video and youtube will convert it to all available resolutions. So when you upload 720p, the 720p video is a different one

For the part of video & audio out of synch
it’s happening with all the youtube videos since I started using the JD2 Beta but I noticed it’s happening only when Dash is enabled .
And I used to using muxer software to adjust the Audio & video synch problem with all youtube videos after downloading them so it’s not a particular video, but any way I picked a video randomly and I downloaded it and
of course it has the same problem here is the link :
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
Edit : I noticed this problem is occurring only on my windows 7 (32 bit) but it doesn't happen when i download youtube videos using my windows 8.1 (64 bit) and the videos which had this synch problem which i already had downloaded on my windows 7(32 bit) it plays perfectly without problem on my windows 8.1 (64 bit)..?

For the part of the Dash
Here is the info of the video using Dash (Dash enabled) :

And here is the info of the same video without Dash(Dash Disabled) :

And here is the video link :
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
and again I have tried with many other videos with dash and without and I get the same result with all of them not only this particular video .

Final Question how can i save my JD2 settings and customization because i want to transfer those settings to JD2 on other PC ?

Thanks in advance .

Default Wrong file size (10 to 20 times bigger while downloading)

Hello, i have an extremely odd and serious problem with youtube music links when downloading. The size of the file is from 10 to 20 times bigger than the actual size while downloading, but after the download is finished the size will return normal. The problem is that it actually downloads the enlarged file size, not the correct one, so for example for a song that is only 5 MB, i download 120 MB, and after i finish downloading it, the size on my pc will return normal.
I have a link to a screenshot i took, to provide further evidence. Has anyone else had this problem, and is there any solution for it? This is truly a nightmare for me, i can't afford to download 100 GB instead of 5 GB only because of a bug/glitch/error, especially because my connection is too low for me to afford it. Thanks in advance.

Default Resume YouTube download after disconnect not possible

So I wanted to download a YouTube video, but I got disconnected from the Internet for a few minutes when the download was just about to finish.

Why is the JD pretending that my download magically finished instantly once the Internet connection is up again?
I took a look into my download directory and I can only see the temporary download file, so it is clearly not complete and when I play it there is no sound.
Why can't I just resume my download?

This is not the first time this happened to me btw. But now that I don't have lightning speed Internet, it's driving me crazy when a 2 hours download just breaks multiple times in a row.

Screenshots:
http://i.snag.gy/UFncF.jpg
http://i.snag.gy/n5b7q.jpg
(It's also weird, that the JD says that 1.32GB were loaded, but the explorer says 1.58GB... the actual final size should be 1.72GB btw.)

@wakabayashy
Delete the link, update & restart JD2, re-add your youtube link --> Should work fine then!

Exclamation YouTube Invalid Variant: Null Problem!

I got this YouTube Invalid Variant: Null issue when I recently updated my JDownloader2, I don't know what caused this error. I've searched the forum but didn't able to find the solution of re-enabling the links to download. Beside from deleting and re-entering the urls again, kindly please give a solution to make these links work without re-crawling them again as these are too much links and I've to set each and every url quality settings again.

Kindly see the attached screenshot of my problem.

sorry you will need to re-crawl as bug removed stored references. This has been covered on the forum numerous times over the last week.

JD team - I need some help.

I understand that, due to some bug all Youtube vdos need to be re-crawled. My issue is i had around 3000+links pending for download, which i kept for download in later stage due to disk space. I had backup of downloadlist.zip file, and i find out that each link is stored in separate file inside the zip file. That means i need to open all 3000 file in txt editor to re add the links ?? i remember before in the backup zip file it was 1 file for each package and that was easy to copy to crawler. is there is any easy way to add back all my links??

@Skuttraj
Please send your downloadList.zip (in case Links are in DownloadList) or Linkgrabber.zip(if you still have the links in linkgraber) with highest number to support@jdownloader.org and I will see if I can rescue/restore data.

Huge bug hogging all CPU!

I having problem with some youtube videos. Above I posted some sample of links that don't work in Jdownloader. They work in other youtube downloader softwares though.

The problem:
Nothing shows up in the linkgrabber but it does not say offline either. But that's not the only problem, the crawler hogs all the CPU (100% CPU usage) making my computer not usable at all (2600K i7 CPU), clicking the radar does not stop it. Only way is to force close Jdownloader.

besides some other youtube links was already in my download list are not downloading anymore when i click on strart download it just shows "starting" in the status but stop at that forever !

Some days ago we had a bad update it "destroyed" some of your existing links so you will probably have to remove- and re-add your old links to make them work.

About the new problem:
Wait for a response of jiaz/coalado - please add logs!

Default *videonumber* for youtube playlist not working

Hello i wanted to download a playlist from youtube.

To avoid them beeing sorted alphabetically i added this in the
youtube pluging settings:

*videonumber* *videoname*.*ext*

so the output is:
videoname.ext

videonumber is missing.

Edit:
i also tried:
*videonumber videoname*.*ext*
what gives the same output.
