@shu: Danke für die Rückmeldung

Before that official release I used the manual method to get RAR5 working.
Will I have to delete th files from there now manually to get the latest RAR5 libs?
What is the latest version and what exactly to do, to get them?

My files do not look updated:

@mensa: There are no known issues with extraction on any Windows, so would be great if you can create a log https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...d-session-logs and post logID here. Doesn't make much sense in downgrading the extraction library as we don't take care for backwards compatibility when working on extraction, means that future updates can easily break extraction for you because of old library. Makes much more sense to fix any reported issues as it will also help others that also have problems.

Hi @Jiaz, I think you misunderstood me.
I don't have a problem with extractions.
I just want to know, how to force JD to update to the latest available version.
Can you please explain me, how I could do this?

@mensa: so sorry, yes I did misunderstand you. Your JDownloader is already up2date. The 1509 files were never touched/updated by JDownloader, only the original ones (the ones with september modification dates). You can check version in Settings->Extraction-> it should show 16.02-2.01. You can safely delete the files with 1509 in name

Thanks a lot, but in the meantime I re-installed JD and did not check version before.
Thanks the perfect possibiliy of just backing up the cfg directory it was done in 2 minutes

I was just confused, cause the modification date of the new files was 11th September 2020, which was before the update. you can see that on the screenshot.

Can you please also explain me, how I could check the version of "Archive Extractor" on a headless installation?
My I see it in the WebIf, or maybe by any command?

@mensa: screenshot shows that latest modification date was on 11.09 around 14 o'clock, few minutes after the update has been released, so everything fine
You can check ExtractionExtension.log.0 in logs folder, it contains
Quote:
--ID:62TS:1606119013315-23.11.20 09:10:13 - [org.jdownloader.extensions.extraction.multi.Multi(isAvailable)] -> Supported SevenZipJBinding|LibID=Linux-amd64|Version=16.02-2.01|RAR5=true|CPU_ARCH=X86|OS_FAM=LINUX|OS=UBUNTU_BIONIC|64Bit_JVM=true|64Bit_ARCH=true|HW:null

Thanks, the above screenshot is from the Windows 10 installation. There is everything fine.

My last quetion was regarding the headless installation, I can't find the ExtractionExtension.log.0 in logs folder:

Do you know, how I could force the update there?

I have that sevenzipjbindings, I think that is a special case because of the ARM version, right?

Is it possible to delete the files and force JD to download most current files by itself?

each session(start) creates new subfolder with timestamp of the session, you'll find the ExtractionExtension.log.0 in there. Your extraction libraries are up2date. If extraction doesn't work fine on the system, I need a log, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...d-session-logs
and post logID here, then I can check what is failing and try to create a working library for you.

Perfect, thx:

Code:
--ID:39TS:1605585730586-11/17/20 5:02:10 AM -  [org.jdownloader.extensions.extraction.multi.Multi(isAvailable)] -> Supported SevenZipJBinding|LibID=Linux-armv6|Version=16.02-2.01|RAR5=true|CPU_ARCH=ARM|OS_FAM=LINUX|OS=LINUX|64Bit_JVM=false|64Bit_ARCH=false|HW:null
I deleted both *1509* files now.

Is it possible, that I disable logging completely?
And I also want to disable the archive folder, downloadlist, linkcollector etc. in cfg folder. So I mean everything what makes sense and does not effect password history. Do you know how to do this?

You can disable logging by Settings->Advanced Settings->Log.maxlogfilesize to 0 and restart JDownloader. Without logs we won't be able to help with problems!

You can disable storage of Linkcollector by disabling GeneralSettings.savelinkgrabberlistenabled
Restarting JDownloader will lose all Linkgraber list.
It's not possible to disable downloadlist storage, but you can change number of CopyOnWrite files,see GeneralSettings.keepxoldlists
Archive cleanup is still workinprogress
you can safely delete that folder when all archives are fully downloaded

Thanks a lot, that worked!
Anything else what could be disabled / reduced to extremely minimize logging / protocolling?

those are not logging/procotcolling but part of normal working disable the logs and you are fine. Of course you should take a look on your start screen to not write std/console to disk

@Bazzu85: The extraction issue doesn't come from JDownloader. The downloaded archive is damaged and thus the extraction failes

@RabbitGti:
org.appwork.storage.JSonMapperException: java.io.IOException: No space left on device
jd.plugins.PluginException: java.io.IOException: No space left on device

This thread is now not a sticky anymore as our RARv5 extraction seems to work fine so far and we haven't received any new reports

@buffysummers: either the overal extraction path is too long or there are *broken* characters within the filename that are causing the issue
Can you send me the links to the archive to support@jdownloader.org or would it be possible to do a teamviewer session?

Moin,

Hier einfach mal ein Log was hoffentlich passt....
23.02.22 17.46.23 <--> 23.02.22 17.49.46 jdlog://6875925302851/

Spoiler:
Moin,

I'm not quite sure if I'm here at the right place request ... Just hope yes.
I use the Syno DS218+ with Docker and use the image jlesage/jdownloader-2 (of course you have nothing to do with it!).
The JDownloader2 is of course up to date within the deployed container - at least it claims to be (build 10.01.2022).
In the settings of the "Archive Extractor" it writes the version of the 7-zip binding 16.02-2.01 - which is also up to date, as far as I have seen correctly. As "Last Working Lib ID" he mentions "Linux-amd64-musl".

Hope that's enough information to start with.
The problem now is this: no matter what it loads and unpacks, it doesn't unpack.
But if I go to the tools via the toolbar and "manually" start an unpack, it unpacks as if there was never a problem.

Here is a log which hopefully fits....

@AprovelPD

Am I missing something? All I see are announcements that this RAR5 extraction library now exists, but WHERE? Where do I download it? Can you just give a direct link to the download please? Not a link to a forum, but to the actual library download. This would be greatly appreciated!

7zip library comes with JDownloader and has been supporting rar v5 and younger for some years out of the box with no user interaction. If you have problems please provide a log (? > create a log) from an effected session, every now and then there are new variants (id within the rar) which we need to add detection for.

Extraction of rar files failed and I don't know if it was a rar5 problem or not so heres the log anyways

10.08.22 10.01.01 <--> 11.08.22 12.42.07 jdlog://5791035302851/

Files that failed extraction. 7-Zip had no problem extracting them outside of JDownloader

@Topken: Thanks for the log. issue is caused by
Quote:
Caused by: net.sf.sevenzipjbinding.SevenZipException: HRESULT: 0x8007000E (Out of memory). Error extracting 5783 item(s)
at net.sf.sevenzipjbinding.impl.InArchiveImpl.nativeExtract(Native Method)

You might wanna try to modify vmoptions file, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...vmoptions-file to provide more memory. eg set
Quote:
-Xmx1500m
I will try to reproduce the issue with your example links and maybe find a different solution than to provide more memory

Edit: HMM JDownloader doesn't open with either 2g or 1500m active in the vmoptions file.

Because you're using a 32bit JVM which is max at 2gb. If you want to provide more, switch to 64bit JVM, see https://jdownloader.org/jdownloader2
you can keep your list/settings/accounts by backup the complete cfg folder and restore it

Try -Xmx1g
But I'm already trying to figure out why this archive requires that much memory.

Update: do you have many links in list? can you provide a screenshot of the about dialog after a JDownloader restart? see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...tion-directory
I was not able to reproduce any issue, so my guess is that your JDownloader was already *near* max memory usage and that's why it failed. a screenshot can tell me more. you should not encounter the issue again with 64bit jvm (as it by default allows more memory)

@Topken: sure the issue also happens with the smaller of your example links (the 18gb file)? I could not reproduce any issue there but not have yet tested the larger one, because download takes a *little* bit longer

Please try to set -Xmx1g in vmoptions file or switch to 64bit jvm and check if that solves the issue for you?

Thanks for the feedback. Please try with 64bit. Please know that you can extract existing files on disk via Menu->Tools->Extract..so you don't have to re-download them Just for information:)
