Question No proxies working

Ok so I have tried to use this site to find working proxies but NOT a single one works.

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

I have tried Socks 5, HTTPS, HTTP and none work but the site shows these are working proxies. I am manually adding the IP address and Port number and that is it.. is something else required to make them work in JDownloader?

You also have to specify the correct type?!
How do you test if the proxy works?

I tested the proxy in Firefox and it worked fine. I tried both a Socks 5 and an HTTP that both worked in Firefox. I than enabled it in JDownloader and set to HTTP it showed Green but the file could not be found or accessed. I than tried the Socks 5 one and set to Socks 5 and it went Red, but yet I was using it in Firefox proxy just fine.

HTTP Proxy: 208.127.25.69 Port: 8080

Worked in Firefox and showing Green in JDownloader but when I try to download get this error.

Try restarting this link.

did you check to log to see why?
some hosters ban proxies
if they are shared proxies they could be already been used, thus have IP limits reached.

check the logs or upload them here.

OK I tried again after restarting it did some update now the HTTP proxy is working just fine today. I cleaned up the logs and next time I will take a look at the log to see what it reports. What I noticed strange in the logs from before is it was 34K in size and most of the log was full of NUL repeatedly.

NUL NUL NUL NUL NUL and so on.

That's a typical sign for broken filesystem or system crash. Meta information of file written but no data yet.

In case you need further help, create a log and post the shown logID
