Or maybe you could give me a straight answer instead, is or would it be possible to update DLC's instead of creating new ones? If not, any workarounds? Thanks

What's the difference between *update DLC* and *create new one*? In both cases you'll end up with same DLC?
I'm sorry but I don't understand the use case nor what the difference should be.

Well, it's all about convenience. Imagine if we had an option to Create DLC > Update DLC (select dlc file), instead of creating new ones and grouping them by folder.

I'm still fairly new with this, but it kind of bothers me that i should create a new DLC for just one or a couple of new files.

It should also be kept in mind that DLC's shouldn't be too large, otherwise it will lead to load issues and increased time to perform the operation, so maybe also an option to establish a number limit per DLC, resulting in an automatic split?? Thanks.

DLC is NOT for export/import. It does not export important meta information and is not designed to backup.
