Yes, that helped me, it was the special characters. I had no idea about this. Thank you a lot. You're awesome and I'm grateful to you. Don't know how can I give you the proper prize for such a great help, I was really in a lot of trouble but now everything is alright and it is all for you. Thank you forever. God bless you.

I think this is the part that has the error. The file that is not downloading is Borderlands(upload by jeditowlie).part6.rar

Question Fileserve no longer seems to work with JD?

Hi,

I have a Premium account for FileServe, and for the past week or so I have been unable to download anything form them with JDownloader. I checked my settings, and under status it says "ServerError, will try later."

Like I said, this problem just started more than a week ago. Anyone else having this problem too? Any suggestions on how to solve this problem? Thank you very much!

i guess you are living in a country which blocks fileserve by using iwf filtering.
i suggest to use opendns (google for it) to workaround dns manipulation.

can you download in browser?
what firewall/av do you use?

Hi Jiaz,

I can download FileServe link files in my browsers just fine. The Firewall I'm using is Online Armor (free version), and my Antivirus program is Avira AntiVir Personal.

PS. I live in the USA.

I don't quite understand what you mean by "example links"? Do you mean FileSserve links? If so, here are some links to a documentary film I'm trying to get right now.

I've tried your first link and it downloads fine. Please, wait for an official jD programmer to analyse your log, because something is wrong at your side.

@mikekuni

For the FSe link I see "ErrorMessage: Recaptcha failed" and "Error occurred: Temporarily unavailably: PLease wait 0 ms for a retry".

Could you please provide some example links?

I would also disable your automatic reconnect feature because it doesn't work with your (missing?) script.

Do the downloads from other hosts work?

If you can download your FSe links in your browser then something (usually a firewall or virus software) is blocking jD.

I recommend to :-

1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software.

2) Reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links.

I have HotFile and Rapidshare accounts, and I don't have any problems downloading with JD. As for the Firewall, I have it turned off and still FileServe have problems downloading.

I'll look into your other solutions soon, thank you.

Jiaz,

I made the OpenDNS changes as outlined here:

Code:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Unfortunately, the JD status still says "ServerError, will try later". I then tried to download a few FileServe links. They can be downloaded, but I am required to wait X-amount of minutes/seconds and then fill in the appropriate captcha information in order to start the download process. I have a Premium FS account and shouldn't have to go through these hurdles.

OMG, your solution now works...no more errors!!!! My password did if fact have special characters, so I changed my password at FileServe.com and then made these new changes in the JD settings. Problem was then immediately solved, and I can now download with Premium account status!

Jiaz, I want to thank you very much for your excellent support my friend...you rock!!!

No problem for the feedback. You are AMAZING Jiaz, I never would have thought that my password was the culprit! I was prepared to uninstall my Firewall, AntiVirus, and a few other apps to get JD working properly again (that's just how much I love this product), but that obviously wasn't necessary!

Thanks again.

I've tried your first link and it works fine here. I've the same plug-in version.

I recommend to :-

1) Allow java and javaw in your firewall and virus software. Disable (or un-install) the html/web download scanner in your virus software.

2) Reduce the Max.Con. setting (bottom right corner of jD window) to 1. Reset the affected links.

oh yes they blocked me, i don't know if it is Hong Kong this place or Smartone this isp that i am using caused the problem, but just here to name it for your information.

I bypassed the ip check and downloading the file by using proxy. hope this reply helps.

Default Fileserve - Slow Download and Problem with multiple Connections

Hi

To be honest right away, i have a fileserve account, because most uploads these days are with fileserve, but fileserve really began to be bad a while ago, but you have to stick with it. Really bad download rates half of the time.
My current workaround is to use multiple downloads (2-3 files at once) from fileserve.
But sometimes this is not possible because there is only one big file.

To the issue:
When i select Max.Con. 2 or 3 (3 is a better example) for a fileserve file, jdownloader can't handle it. Either it does not start the download at all, or only one part for example.
I have tried fileserves own downloadmanager with multiple connections per file and it works very well.
Whats the problem with jdownloader here?
If i use my netload account for multiple connections per file, everything is smooth. So it must be a problem with the plugin?

At the moment i am downloading one file with 20kb/s another at 70kb/s... and the other file doesn't even start, even as standalone download (over http browser link)... man i really have some cruel intentions with fileserve. if you mention it to the support they just say: use our downloadmanager... blabla

I couldn't get a download connection with jdownloader yesterday, with firewall off, router reset etc.. but i could download via browser. today it is back to normal.
and multiple connections per fileserve file work too. to be honest i've tested it 2 weeks ago the last time. i was just so annoyed about fileserve yesterday that i posted my question to hasty. sorry
so everythings good for now, thanks. if i have problems in the future i will provide some logs.
