Default DL chunks failing...big speed drops near DL end??

Hi

For awhile now there has been an outstanding issue that has not been addressed enough.....

At the tail end of a DL (from 60-75% on) and usually with bigger files, but small ones too; the DL speed of a file will majorlly drop in speed to 20kb/s and lower; and stay that way till user restarts...and it only works for a bit then crashes down again.

I know this has to do with chunks. Ive noticed lately that chunks during DL r failing a lot these days; and with that comes the big drop in speed. Ive heard quiet mention of a re-build of the system needed for this.....

Thing is this needs to become a top priority i think because this "slow finish to the finish line" is happening far too often now. It can take forever to finish a big DL...and I cant walk away and leave it anymore or I just watch everything go to a crawl.

Ive talked with support teams of other sites and they are doing what they can...I was hoping to bring this big issue to ur attention, to see if theres something u guys can tweak with or fix.

Thanks....

I've got the same issue month ago
https://board.jdownloader.org/showthread.php?t=71916
After 10-15 days problem gone by yourself.
Looks like not JD problem, sometimes something wrong with RD network connections.
For now we just waiting for dynamic chunking support in JD.

Yes! this "dynamic chunk" support needs to be implemented asap becuase like I said this issue makes it very hard for me to walk away from JD2 window for fear it will slow to a crawl, or fail outright until i restart it.

Please guys look into fixing this asap....this is a VERY annoying issue!

I'm on it

I still have some important things to finish (where to save resume information) but after that it should be easy to switch to new core

Any news on this issue? There have been a few updates. Has this new chunks system been implemented yet?

No and as far as I know this will take even more time.
It is a part of JDownloaders core!

Hi....Any update on the new chunk system? Ive noticed a lot of chunks still failing around the 60-70% mark of DLs (mostly with big DLs) which slow down DL speeds quite a bit.

Sorry, the new download core has been been in the works for 3 years now, unlikely to be introduced in the near future (if history has anything thing to say).

Only work around that I know does work is download with less chunks, you will get more even speed.

Don't fight the system, use it to your advantage. :]
