Default Small annoyances

Hi
There's a couple of things I'd like to address in this thread.

1. Mouse over rename
In my experience this feature is erratic: sometimes it's instant while other times I have to wait almost too long. Sometimes I select an item I want to delete but it switches to rename mode and instead of deleting the item I delete the item's name.
So it would be nice to have an option for a "mouse over rename time threshold" for renaming an item and a 0 value should turn the feature off.

2. Close packages when added to Downloads
It's pretty self explanatory - if a package is opened in Linkgrabber when I add to Downloads the program should automatically close the package in the Downloads tab. I don't see any reason to keep the package open but some might find it useful so an option to chose wether a package should be closed or not when added to the Downloads would be nice.

Thanks in advance,
M

Hi
1.) its not mouse over -> rename
its select selected item, like in windows. the first click selects it, the second click will enable rename mode (can be changed back to F2 hotkey). in case its already selected, an additional click is enough

2)

Here's some more...

1.
If a package contains an invalid link but it's disabled don't report an "error". It's confusing that a package successfully downloaded yet the status states its erroneous.

Also if a package contains a skipped but disabled captcha, but it was successfully downloaded from another Hoster then the Status should be Finished.

In short, no matter what kind of troubles happened while downloading a package, if it finally downloaded successfully then the Status should be Finished. All kind of secondary state reports should be in the Properties tab if they're important at all.

2.
jD sometimes get confused when the package name's contains sections like "Part.1" and it treats the package's content like a multipart archive and it complaints about missing parts.

Thanks in advance,
M

Hi,
How can I get the download link (the www_anyhoster_com_/_whatever_zip, not the source link)?
I tried to get this information out from jD2 a couple of times but always failed.

Regards,
M

You mean via strg + C or do you want to see it in the list?
Anyways, see settings --> User Interface --> Downloadlink address display

Hi,

Well, I think it's pretty clear what the bug is...
Sometimes the "Bytes Loaded" column is empty although the download finished just fine.
They are all different packages, all successfully downloaded (see: Finished and 100%) and yet some of them missing the "Bytes Loaded" value.
All mirrors but one were disabled in every packages so there's no "mirror didn't download" case.

M

as you cut off the image, the reason I gave could be valid.. aka mirrors. In which mirrors are never downloaded thus have blank entry? Hence nothing happened but they are marked at 100% Was just a guess... and you gave very zero information other than screen shot.

Hi,

@Raztoki - you're wrong. Besides the screenshot I described the whole situation: only one mirror was enabled so there's no way some kind of mirror issue caused this unless disabled mirrors can lead to problems. I hope that's not the case.

Now I've attached the whole screenshot and you can see there's no mirror involved in the manifestation of the bug.

I've highlighted the problem with two red rectangles in the selected rows.

Hi,
I've attached the same way as before.
The previous image took some time to appear so I guess we just have to wait a little bit more...

Hi guys,

This ticket:

https://svn.jdownloader.org/issues/64054

is more than a year old but it's still 0%.

The default behaviour is pretty annoying and I don't think it would be particularly challenging...

Cheers,
M
