Default speed problems

Hi,
i've run a headless jdownloader for a while now but suddenly i have speedproblems...
Quote:
-- REMOTE SYSTEM -------------------------------------------
OS: Linux (LINUX 64Bit) (amd64 64Bit)
JAVA: 1.7.0_151-b01 (64Bit) (headless)
Oracle Corporation
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM
JAVA HEAP: 141.33 MB / 293.6 MB / 829.42 MB
STARTUP TIME: 00h 09m 44s (startup time: 09.11.17 21:14)
speedlimit is unchecked
downloading same files from desktop pc goes way faster.
jdownloader gets me ~500 kbs, download via browser on this pc gets me 3mbs
speedtest on ubuntu machine says 3mbs

what have i done?! (and where? and how can i undo this)

please provide output of
java -version
Maybe you are using ZeroVM jvm, that is factor 80-100 times slower.

Also speedtest has nothing to say about download speed! Where do you download from? Are you free or premium user?

Code:
@data:~$ java -version
java version "1.7.0_151"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (IcedTea 2.6.11) (7u151-2.6.11-0ubuntu1.14.04.1)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (build 24.151-b01, mixed mode)
i'm a share-online premium user. as i said on my windows pc i can download the same file (from same hoster) with far better bandwidth. both machines are connected via the same switch.

Please use a newer jvm. For example Oracle oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html

just download and extract and use it. no need to change/install anything
instead of java -version, you will use /fullpath/java/bin/java -jar JDownloader.jar

alright! works great. if i restart via webinterface, will it start with the right java version or will it fall back to the "older" one?

It will/should use the current one
You can verify by checking Webinterface-Settings and note the java version, then restart and check again

Thanks for the feedback!

hmm, now i'm back to 900kbs, while speedtest and all other things are at 2,5mbs?
Webinterface-Settings says:
Code:
Java
1.8.0_151-b12 (64Bit) (headless)
Oracle Corporation
Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM

@narf: speedtest doesn't say anything about download speed from any host. It simply measures the speed to speedtest server, nothing more.
check speed with exact same file in browser and compare it.
Also make sure that the network connection to your headless JDownloader is stable/good

already did compare with same files from share-online 900kbs vs 2,5mbs. network connection is fine!

Same number of connections/downloads?
I can take a look via Teamviewer if you want. Just send me ID and PW to support@jdownloader.org
