If you are having problems, and you thing the problem is a Host Plugin, re-read the Host Plugin Rules and supply the information. I will not repeat the rules here. Others who notice that a user is not providing important information required by the rules should reply: "Please review the rules" or "XXXX may help solve the problem". Supporters or other Team members may request different information, depending on the problem. If you do not understand the rules, PM a supporter (drbits for English, Think3r for Deutsch) and we will try to explain the rule (or try to make the rule easier to understand). If all you want to do is report that something strange is happening, do not expect an answer. The rules are designed to provide as much privacy as we can. If you do not report the information in the rules, expect your message to be deleted. These are rules and are designed to get the best results and the fastest corrections. @KoK Ok so you have some clients you can not share links with others ... no big deal ... just state such when you report something broken. You could also if so desired add your own link of just a picture or whatever for them to look at after you test. There are ways to send a log without giving away privileged info. As this is a Java app to begin with yes most of the time the log created by one should be the same for another but sometimes it is not depending on what java version, what OS, etc. may be in use along with any other apps that may be causing problems etc. @ all other admins/mods, supporters etc., although yes we all would like for people to follow the rules or instructions not everyone can for previously said reasons if it is associated with such as client contracts etc. Some people/companies actually do use some of these hosts for extremely big file transfer and some may even use such as JD for collecting links to download as clients etc. from such companies. To all do what you can to help the future development, don't go and get yourselves twisted up though with such things as arguments. It is very easy to ask for something and for those who may not be able to supply what is asked for it is easier to state reasons for understanding. No need to fight with admins/mods as with all forums, the admins/mods have the final word. No need to fight amongst ourselves as it is just a time waster and nothing grows but anger. With information one has the power to go further in all directions. With lack of information one just gets stagnant and fades away. People can make more friends and get further in life with honey than with salt. my 2 cents.

I respect your viewpoint, but I also respect drbits' point of view. Many times I've been amused by so many people reporting and confirming the same problem without anyone of them knowing that the fastest way to get a solution is providing the necessary information. As long as not enough data about the problem is provided everyone is wasting each other's time. I suppose this mirroring behaviour is explainable by the fact that we are an ape species.

Filesonic not-allowed.php
Ich kann seit ein paar Tagen von Filesonic mit JDownloader nichts mehr herunterladen, es wird nur mehr ein File not-allowed.php mit 418 Byte Grösse heruntergeladen. Ich bin aber Premium_User. Liegt das an Filesonic oder an JDownloader.
Wäre sehr dankbar für eine Antwort. |

What about a complete and detailed log?
Excerpts from logs might not help finding the issue. I'm currently downloading from FSo in a fully automated way and at a speed that varies between 128 and 220 KB/s. I'm a freeloader. |

im having big problems with fsc.....the speed with a premium account is often only around 50 KB per connection. multiple connections are forbidden by the server, im asking myself why i have to pay for that?!

Don't take this the wrong way, but there are other downloader programs that work with Filesonic right now.
I haven't been able to get jDownloader to work on Filesonic Premium for a solid month (doesn't even recognize the links). So I use jDownloader for almost everything else, just not any Filesonic links. :( Last edited by FSchmertz; 27.11.2010 at 01:26. |

Since Filesonic has not been working for awhile, I figured I'd take a peek on the forums. Seems it's been an ongoing issue. Like FSchmertz just mentioned, other programs like FreeRapid have updated their plugins and work fine now with it. I'd be happy to post a log, but at this point I should hope you already know what the problem is.
This is surprising since I gave up FreeRapid for JDownloader awhile ago and have not experienced any issues thus far other than waiting a week or less for a plugin update. Yeah, it's free and awesome and has done wonders for many thus far. JDownloader even got a mention on Lifehacker **External links are only visible to Support Staff**Lifehacker when FreeRapid never has. But since I had to use FreeRapid again for Filesonic, I noticed they had made a few nice updates to the program let alone plugin updates since I last used it. Did you know, it now runs as frd.exe instead of javaw.exe? That makes for much easier program priorities with cFosSpeed **External links are only visible to Support Staff**cFosSpeed (software QoS). On a side note since my post has become a bit eclectic & slightly off topic, is it normal for JD to use more than 200 MB RAM just because I have maybe 100 or so finished downloads I haven't dealt with yet? Or is that just Java? However, since Java has improved much in the last year or so, I would think it would be up to the software developer to optimize their program. I may be wrong. Also, could you add "Remove completed & deleted" to the context menu? Thanks, guys. Just my 2 cents, praise & questions. P.S. No linking except for "supporters?" Um...ok. Sorry, I normally remember to mention program versions and such.
JDownloader -xmas (really?) 0.9.580, using Filesonic as a free user. Plugin version shows 12983. So FSchmertz and I are just insane? Yeah, so the filehost isn't the greatest. Blame the folks who insist on hosting their files there. I often try to find mirrors, but am not always successful. By the way, your log creation instructions are out of date. There is no show log option in the ? menu. Logging level is already set to all and I never touched it. |
