Trojan:JS/CoinHive.B found in speedvid.net_jd.plugins.hoster.SpeedvidNet.log.0
Windows Defender alerts to "Trojan:JS/CoinHive.B" on Windows 10 since about September 9th. Supposedly in the plugin for SpeedvidNet.
Here is the log by Defender: containerfile: C:\Users\Useraccount\AppData\Local\JDownloader v2.0\logs\1536778779508_Wed, Sep 12, 2018 20.59 +0200\speedvid.net_jd.plugins.hoster.SpeedvidNet.log.0 file: C:\Users\Useraccount\AppData\Local\JDownloader v2.0\logs\1536778779508_Wed, Sep 12, 2018 20.59 +0200\speedvid.net_jd.plugins.hoster.SpeedvidNet.log.0->(SCRIPT0001) file: C:\Users\Useraccount\AppData\Local\JDownloader v2.0\logs\1536778779508_Wed, Sep 12, 2018 20.59 +0200\speedvid.net_jd.plugins.hoster.SpeedvidNet.log.0->(SCRIPT0022) file: C:\Users\Useraccount\AppData\Local\JDownloader v2.0\logs\1536778779508_Wed, Sep 12, 2018 20.59 +0200\speedvid.net_jd.plugins.hoster.SpeedvidNet.log.0->(SCRIPT0043) Is that the Coinhive-Captcha? |

Yes, the logs contain the html source of the website and thats the coinhive captcha that causes the alert. Nothing to worry about because JDownloader doesn't yet support coinhive and also defender just found them in logs/txt file
In case you've got further questions about this, please don't hesitate and contact us again!

I assume the log files are only created, when speedvid.net links are collected, since I haven't seen any other posts here?
Can I turn off the logs or exclude Jdownloader from collecting speedvid.net links? I don't really want to tell Defender that CoinHive shouldn't be treated as suspicious. |

Logs from plugins are either created when debug mode is enabled or plugin has encountered errors.
You can disable logging complete by setting Settings-Advanced Settings-Log.maxlogfilesize to smaller value, eg 0
