Default Low speed at the end of the download.

At the end of the file download releases the connection and starts downloading from getting slower speed. At the beginning I have a speed of about 700KiB/s. You should download from the maximum speed to the end.

Not sure if this happens more at one site or another.
Also depending on the site and the connection between you and them, sometimes also equipment issues, there are often issues beyond JD's control on the final DL Speed for finishing a download.

Some sites us a checksum to verify, sometimes it is a simple file size bite check, some sites don't do anything and it is a function of the Operating system to signal file completion.

Regardless the file Negotiation process between you and the host may be something that JD really has no real control over as it could also be a routing issue even beyond your ISP and the Hosts ISP. I often see a lot of BW jumping depending on the time of day.

One has to do a lot of traffic analysis and other testing to determine what the root cause might be.

I know what you mean and the screenshot also shows it.
In this case youre downloading with 5 chunks (connections per file) so when the download starts jd splits up this 100 MB file in 5 parts.
Now what happens when it ends is that some of those parts are finished as you can see in your screenshot (it loads wih 2/5).
As far as i know the downloadsystem 2.0 which still has to be developed first, will have dynamic chunk handling.

@Borut
No.
The more you download the more connections are finished.
Example:
your file is 100 MB big, youdownload with 5 connections.
100/5 = 20 so every chunk is 20 MB in size.
Now because every chunk is downloading with a different speed some will be finished earlier than others so at the end of your download you will have less connections downloading at the same time which is then less speed...

In my opinion this bug. Before the last update of nightly version it was all OK. In reducing the number of calls for the file, the speed decreased and then increased (as would slot adapted to speed).

Prior to its moment reset the current mode developer (version Nightly) and is already OK. Somewhere in the update or some action, something stirred in the libraries or the program settings.

No. This is not a bug.

Please read General Discussion -> Self Help Index -> Optimizing your number of connections.

As PSP wrote, a new download engine has been designed that will download connections and multiple downloads more evenly. Currently, this is left up to the Host server, and the problem you are seeing is with the server.

I am not sure if this will help or not but here is an example of a download set I did and you will see the drops easy enough it has nothing to do with JD but external influences as mentioned previously. I also checked the log and it also showed the downloads as 1 chunk not multiple chunks per file it was downloading.

Higher speed dl matching in both eta and actual file dl shown in list but notice the upper right monitor for the fluctuation.

Lower speed dl shown in list under eta although below shows higher speed. Again notice the upper right monitor for the fluctuation.

as drbits said not a JD bug.

Instructions in the help forum I'm already using for a long time and I have a combination of optimized software "TCP Optimizer".

Last Nightly Build 12783 works without complaints. Pulls as it should. I don't know what you mended, but it is okay. It works the way I wanted. So far, I think that you can close the topic.
Thanks

The low speed at the end of a download can be caused by antivirus software as well. Some scan the file when it downloaded, which isn't necessary at all.

The up and down speed of RS is typical for RS freeloaders. Their servers send data, pause, send data, and so on.

Note (drbits): I made a change to clarify the text.
