@pboy2k: You can always fallback to manual installation, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...bedded-devices
Looks the the dropbox file no longer is online

Hi,

hab mich länger nicht mit der Thematik beschäftigt. Werden mittlerweile Winrar 5 Archive auf QNAP NAS Systemen (ARM) unterstützt??

Grüße

That's what I ended up doing. Thank you for the pointer. However, I encountered a new issue. When I updated jdownloader via web/setting, the process failed to restart on its own. Any suggestions on what I need to do to make the process restart once it's finished updating using the website? I had to manually start the java process again via putty.

Thank you in advance!

@pboy2k: do you use some start script? do NOT use -norestart parameter once you setup MyJDownloader logins

Klingt gut!
Versuche gerade nochmal den JD auf meinem QNAP zu installieren, allerdings bekomme ich nach der Java überprüfung folgende Fehlermeldung:
Quote:
Oops, couldn't download JDownloader2 update file. Please check your internet connection.

The installer script doesnt work because a required script/part of the installer is no longer offline.
We suggest to do the manual installation, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...bedded-devices

Default Qpkg for JDownloader 2

Are there any plans to release a Qpkg in near future for easy installation without putty and entware-ng? Would really appreciate that one.

@Partington:
You can install it manually without entware-ng. Just install Java(via Package manager or manually) and read
https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...bedded-devices
Maybe in future but not at the moment. No time and we don't have much experience with Qpkg package creation

Thanks man, so stupid I didn't tried that earlier.
Was totally confused about the entware-ng thing as my NAS didn't seemed to be supported. Installation was easy and it seems to work so far. Looking forward to the first reboot.

@Partington: You can setup a *Startup* Script in your NAS via Webinterface and then autostart JDownloader. Without manual setup of autostart, you will have to restart JDownloader on every reboot. Thanks for the feedback! Glad it did work well for you

I've ublocked all URLs inside the first post.
This must have happened during a forum update as they were visible initially!

Hello there. I have a quick question for the QNAP/JDownloader professionals. I have successfully installed JDownloader with the manual setup and it works quite well so far. However, I have one particular issue:

Whenever I want to use JDownloader, I have to start it first by logging into my QNAP with SSH and the start it manually with 'java - jar JDownloader.jar'. This is really inconvenient because I would like to have it running in the background at all times when the NAS is online and I have ssh-access. Furthermore, JDownloader then only works as long as my own terminal is running locally from which I ssh'd into the NAS...so, can I launch JDownloader directly from my NAS somehow without always remotely connecting first?

thanks!

Either start JDownloader in background
java -jar JDownloader.jar &
or
Restart JDownloader Once via Webinterface to put it into background.
Then you can close your SSH session and JDownloader still running in background

For autostart of JDownloader, check google how to add scripts to autostart of your NAS device.

@mb123: We can help via Teamviewer if you like, just contact us via support@jdownloader.org
We will then ssh into your nas and modify password together.

Default installation stucked

Hi,

I'm trying to install JD2 on my Qnap TS-453A newest Firmware. The installation always stuck after the script searches for updates after entering the MyJdownloader login. The last script lines are:

Start Update
Update Message: Check for updates
Update Progress: 3%
Update Progress -1%
Update Message: Contact Server...
Update Messages: Check for updates

The app Icon is in the Qnap App Center but is the installation still complete and fully functional?

Thanks for advice.

Regards.

@MrSed/mb123: connect via ssh/putty, stop running JDownloader process
and start it manually via java -jar JDownloader.jar -norestart
The *UpdateMessage/Progress" are all fine. Don't see anything stuck!?
You can also try to install it manually, see https://support.jdownloader.org/Know...bedded-devices

It seems you have started JDownloader in background.
Close JDownloader and start it with
java -jar JDownloader.jar -norestart manually
then enter your MyJDownloader logins.

Dear @Jiaz

Thanks for your support. But it is a bit less information for me.
How can I close JDownloader in backround? Something like "java -jar JDownloader.jar -exit"?!

Is there a commad list for JDownloader.jar somewhere?

I dont have Entware-ng installed and Jdownloader is not visible in Apps List in QNAP Manager. Is that right?

cat JDownloader.pid to get the process ID
kill PID (replace by process ID) to stop JDownloader
then you can start JDownloader in foreground with
java -jar JDownloader.jar -norestart
We can also help you via Teamviewer, just send us ID and PW to support@jdownloader.org

Entware-ng is not needed and JDownloader is not visible in the official QNAP List, this is correct. But you can found it in the Qnapclub.

Link: qnapclub.eu/de/qpkg/524 (I hope you see the lilnk)

Best regards
