Default Regex to truncate file name after a specific character

is it possible to truncate a file name after the first occurrence of a specific character?

Could be a "#" for example.

@dramaman: can you please provide example links so we know if the filename really contains # or the plugin must be updated.
see https://support.jdownloader.org/de/k...the-packagizer
you could use
Code:
filename - contains *#*
then set
filename - <jd:orgfilename:1>

@dramaman: Thanks! the # is indeed part of the filename, so the provided rule should work
