Default Jdowloader either Crashes, or Freezes PC Completely

Just got introduced to this program yesterday and absolutely love it.. when it works.

I had it on my Fiance's Laptop:

Win7 32-bit
AMD Dual Core Processor
3GB Ram

It ran fine for almost 7 hours, then froze, and froze again.

So I figured my machine being more powerful wouldn't have issues:

Win7 64-bit
Intel Core2Quad
8GB Ram

Now we both use Vipre, but I've completely uninstalled it and it's still happening, I do have Jdownloader and all it's files allowed through Active Protection and firewall.

Now if I leave the program minimized in the tray, it'll crash out and just stop running.

If I have it up on screen, it'll freeze the computer completely.

I do have an ATI card and Morphological Filtering is turned off. I also downloaded all the latest JDownload updates.

I'm at a complete loss. My 2 friends are using it fine on their machines, but 2 of my machines can't seem to manage to stay working long enough to use it.

For W7 you better move your jD folder to a path like c:\progs\ and check whether all protections are removed, also on the sub-folders.

Permissions. jD needs to have read/write/execute permissions to its program folder.

It's running now pretty smoothly now that I put it in C/JDownloader. I'll give this some time and see if it's still freezing.

Installing a game, running Chrome and using Jdownloader is using 10% Processor and 26% memory. So I'm going to probably get some sleep and see if it's frozen when I wake up.

If you see any new hs_err_pid* files in jD's program folder, please show them.

Also execute windows_createlog.bat in the jD program folder and provide an archive with the two generated files.

If you can't find JDownloaderD3D.exe in your jD program folder, download it from "**External links are only visible to Support Staff** or use the command "java -Xmx512m -Dsun.java2d.d3d=false -jar JDownloader.jar" to start jD.

If this wouldn't help disable ClearType fonts.

Disabled Cleartype fonts, will start it up via JDownloaderD3D.

Don't feel confident it's not going to freeze, but we'll give it a shot.

I'm glad it didn't freeze until now.
