Default Couldn't load main class - again

Sorry, original post is closed. See http://board.jdownloader.org/showthr...ass#post243078

I get this error during the update.
I started JD2, it finished the update, no problem now.

It's occurred again now, a new JD2 start was successful, followed by "the very important update, should run now".

Hopefully somebody will correct this.

And here is it again
And again very important update ... for every two minutes one ....
again and again

The latest update went without any problem ...

I restarted JD2 from the menu, again stopped with error message.
I tried this 5 times, always with the same result.

Thanks, probable somebody will correct this.
I wait with the deletion, the normal starting and stopping works well, the problem is only with the restart.
...
I found that only Jdonloader2.exe contains this error message, I don't know where it is from, if I start it, I get this error message.
(Its size is 384640, date is 2013.01.30 13:01 - probably from my 1st install attempt of the new version).
Because I start JD2 with jdownloader.jar, I moved away jdonloader2.exe from the jd2 folder, and the problem has gone.

Maybe JD2 uses the exe file at restart.

Hi bici-boci,

Thanks for your above comment ... it sure as heck Solved my Problem ...

So, I am writing this to Help the next poor slob who is Banging his/her head against the wall trying to play around with "JDownlaoder 2.0 Beta" ...

Well, eventhough VirusTotal says there are Trojans in JDownloader.exe ... I am taking the chance to mess with this proggie ... like living Dangerously

I found JDownloader Portable version from Portable Site ... Not from Here ... I had 2 Versions ... Version Build 20846 has the Problem "Jdownloader2.exe" dated 04/25/2013 and Size is 376KB. The .exe that workd is from Portable Version Build 19096 ... "Jdownloader2.exe" dated 07/31/2012 and Size is 339KB.

BTW, I don't understand Why I could NOT Stop the Jdownloader.exe Process using the Task Manager ... I find that Annoying and Fishy ... for what is worth!

Thanks again Bici-Boci !

G!

I understand this is an old thread, but just in case someone else has this same problem:

I was using a shortcut in my startup folder to start jdownloader when windows starts. I created this shortcut some time ago with a version of JD I'm not sure of.

After I updated jdownloader, I started to get "Couldn't load main class" on startup (don't know which updated version of JD). However, there was no error when using the Jdownloader shortcut that was created by the installer.

I ended up solving the problem by deleting the old shortcut in my startup folder. Instead, I used the JD shortcut placed by the installer. No errors.
