That's nice, I hope you are right. However, I think there is something else tampering the folder name. As I said, I have that option disabled so the YT ID in the folder name should be untouched, but it's not.

I've looked into this again and you're right:
The place where this bug happens is before the "optional cleanup" part.
You will need to wait for the release of our next set of CORE-updates to get the fix for this problem.
This time the release of the next set of CORE-updates can need much longer than last time so please be patient. If you can't wait, you can use the dev version at any point of time to pre-test things.

Don't worry, I can wait whatever it takes. YT IDs with "cdX" are somewhat rare. From my experience, they appear in slightly less than 1% of channels, so I can keep fixing the IDs manually until the core update.

You can only download subtitlers which are listed in the first "choose subtitle dialog" on the youtube website.

I want to add my vote to an ongoing request: Tom Scott has recently released a video with multiple audio tracks, "Why don't subtitles match dubbing?"

There are at least five different language versions and while I see that there were already requests to have a default language selection for audio as well (mine downloads Spanish (?) instead of the most expected English), I miss having variant selection, because in case of such a video it really makes sense to download multiple versions (I want Japanese as well at the very least) and mix with different subtitles.

Please add audio track variants and tag indicating which language the chosen track is, that works like LNG (so options like display or full work).

A great addition would be obviously a possibility to include all tracks within a single container, but I understand that difficulty of such an implementation could be relatively prohibitive, considering it was not implemented for subtitles yet.

TL;DR
We know about the high demand for the feature "multi audio track support". Further requests are not needed.
We will post in this thread once an update is available.
In the meantime you can use any other tools which do provide support for multiple audio tracks.
Maybe the popular open source project "yt-dlp" has it - I haven't tested it.

I have a new problem in getting random incomplete videos from Youtube especially bigger files .

This is when the video portion freezes and the audio track keeps playing to the end.. Im using VLC player.

Dont know if its JDownloader or the ffmpeg app it uses .

I never had this issue on my old vista computer but now Im now using my new HP with Win 11 and have this problem..Now I have to play and check all the videos and see if they are ok which is a PITA...

If I redownload the video file again and it will play ok..

hi. i often want to download more than one version on youtube video. like, i download 1080p version, then analize link once more, change video quality to 480p and add it to download too. and what strange - jdownloader never put second file in the same package folder as first. it puts it in the root of download directory.

what is even more strange - a while ago i change download folder. for example it was c:\jd, now it is d:\jd and now if i downloads two versions of same video - first goes to d:\jd\packagename, but second goes to c:\jd

this is with any youtube video. please check. is this normal?

As already explained it will take a long time until someone will work on this. It might evn never happen.
In the meantime feel free to use other open source YT download tools such as "yt-dlp".

Currently there are almost 3100 music tracks and 1100 sound effects to freely download from.

And don't worry, I plan on using those files within the terms of YT by only using them for my own Youtube videos, nothing else. I won't share them with anyone else as required by the Youtube license agreement.
I just think it is a lot more convenient to have all the files locally and then pick and choose one of the tracks for my video as I am about to create it.

This is not a bug report, but I need to know, is it possible to ensure that JD grabs links in a set order? For example, I use LinkClump and Open Multiple URLs to copy all links in my Watch Later list, and then I remove all the playlist strings before copying all the links again and turning on JD's LinkGrabber. But, when I copy a bunch of links like this, the order in which LinkGrabber grabs them, becomes random. Is there a setting that can be tweaked, to ensure that LinkGrabber grabs a list of links in the exact order they are listed?

First solution I have been using all this time, is more tedious when I have several hundreds of videos added in my list.

Second option, can you suggest scripts to use, and how to implement them?

Third option is the easiest and would be the best, if it weren't for Youtube's system busting the JD login so frequently. Until now, I have only been using the login to download 18+ videos.

Fourth option: If I have to use a packagizer rule for Youtube video filenames, I will need to know the specific codes for the website. I want my filenames to be: "playlist position" "channel name" "upload date(YYYY/MM/DD)". "video title" (*H*p_*FPS*fps_*VIDEO_CODEC*-*AUDIO_BITRATE*kbit_*AUDIO_CODEC*)."file extension"

Finally, after applying the "PLAYLIST_POSITION* to the filenames, I tried grabbing the video links without any playlist strings in the urls. Somehow, the playlist position is detected and added to the filenames, even though no playlist link or playlist info is used. However, unlike using the playlist link, the links are added in a random order as usual. But, now that the filenames have the playlist position at the beginning of the filename, I can remedy this by moving all links to a new package, and sorting the new package by name. Still, I would like to know the packagizer parameters for Youtube filenames, for future reference.

Yes and no - you partly mis-understood me here.
First use the youtube plugin (YT plugin settings) to build your main filenames, then later only add your artificial position to the filenames.
As explained I'm not 100% sure that it will work in this case but it is worth a try.

This only works because our youtube plugin has a special caching feature to speed-up the process when a user is adding the same items again in the current session.
Most likely the playlist-position was just cached from the first time when you've added that item with the playlist-information.

Doch ein Kanal hat ein paar Videos, die nur für Kanalmitglieder anzuschauen sind. Und obwohl ich ein Kanalmitglied bin, und mir die Videos im Browser anschauen kann, bei JD2 meinen Account hinzugefügt habe, werde diese Videos von JD2 nicht mit hinzugefügt. Muss man da was bestimmtes beachten, oder ist das generell nicht möglich, diese Videos herunterzuladen?

Youtube downloads are excruciatingly slow.

Youtube downloads were OK until the last jDownloader update (it would be convenient if "jDownloader2 - About jDownloader2" had a single main version and build number to copy and paste here; otherwise you do not know which one is it).

If, in the plugin settings, I check only "best audio", nothing shows up in the link grabber. I have all file types and variants allowed.

Is this normal? I can convert later, but it would be nice to not download the unnecessary data if possible.

As "best 2D video", I get a 272p, 25fps video with 128kB/s audio, which is a strange video size that isn't even selectable on youtube. What's going on there?

I have a few youtube issues right now. When I select "put each video into a separate package", multiple videos are still put into the same package.
Videos which name includes Part1 or Part2 will be put into the same package. Or videos which include ① ② ③ ④ ⑤ ⑥ ⑦ ⑧ will be put into the same package.

es gibt bei YT manchmal zu bestimmten Themen Playlists, wo es sinnvoll sein kann, wenn die Dateinamen auf dem PC nicht nach dem Alphabet, sondern nach Upload-Datum sortiert erscheinen.
In meinem Beispiel geht es um eine Art Kurs, wie man eine Modellbahn baut.

In den möglichen Variablen für den Dateinamen gibt es dafür z.B. *Date_Publish".

So habe ich es bei den Namensvorgaben für Dateien aus Playlists gemacht

"*Date_Publish* - *PLAYLIST_CREATOR* - *PLAYLIST_TITLE*"

Das Ergebnis schaut dann z.B. so aus:

"19 Februar 2023 - MoBa-TV - Modelleisenbahn Lexikon_ Wir bauen eine Märklin-Anlage"

Das hilft schon sehr, aber wie wäre es, wenn das Datum so erscheint, dass es auf dem PC sortierbar ist, also z.B. "2023-02-19"?

Gibt es bereits eine Möglichkeit die ich übersehen habe oder wäre das ggf. ein Vorschlag für eine zukünftige Ergänzung?
