@perspicacia: I was not yet able to reproduce the issue but I see it in the logs. You can disable this feature manually by setting Settings->Advanced Settings->Youtube.autoalternativesearchdepths to 0

Thanks for that. However with that setting changed the download now says Temporarily Unavailable

@perspicacia: Can you please try again and disable your yt account in JDownloader first? you are sure that in browser you do not use any vpn/proxy? I cannot reproduce the issue nor find any hint why it happens

I have been having problems with downloads of some youtube links. It has been happening to me for some weeks or maybe months. I'm unsure when the problem started, but recently I noticed it happening more

I added many videos to my download list and download a few each day. I start my downloads but a bit later I find out that one or multiple videos didn't download. If I remember correctly, they show an error that say the plugin is outdated and that I should reset the link. The problem is, the video that was 1080p now says that it is 360p, so reseting it doesn't work for me because I don't want a 360p video. I have to readd the video and set the correct folder and package name again

It is not a very big problem but it's happening quite often and daily. Some times I have to do it multiple times with one link because after readding it the problem occurs again: some times it takes 1 retry, some times it takes 2 retries, but today I had to retry adding the link 3 times until the download in 1080p worked, so that made me decide to post here

The problem tends to happen with multiple files often, but hopefully there is a solution for this :>

Note: JD is always updated before I download

Here is an example of a playlist where this problem happened many times:

The problem is that this happens randomly, I tried to readd the playlist to JDownloader again just to test, and all of the downloads worked properly. To test this, I started the downloads of 4 files at a time, and if it didn't show any error I just disabled the link to keep testing the others. I did it very recently and got no errors, but hours ago I had to retry like 10 times in total to be able to download a few videos of the same playlist

Episode 13 failed 1 time then worked the 2nd time, and the same happened for episode 14. Episode 15 failed just got (changed to 360p) so I'm readding it and trying again

You also mention something about log-ID. Is that necessary in my case? and if yes, I suppose I don't need to enable debug mode since it's not a login problem?

I'm "glad" you were able to reproduce the problem so this can be further investigated

From testing I've done, it may happen with both playlists or single links, but it happens randomly

With playlists I'm able to reproduce the issue quickly because they have 10 to 100+ videos

I have an idea of how you could test and reproduce the error often: you could start downloading a playlist that has many videos. If the download starts, you disable the link so it continues with the next until you find links with errors. It can be done with 1 connection at a time or 4 so it's slightly faster, limiting bandwitch to 1 MB/s or less so it barely uses internet data

Alternatively, you can do the same process but with multiple random videos from youtube (10, 20 or more if you prefer) or from a specific channel
