Is there any update regarding grabbing the time to be inserted in the filename??
This was enabled in earlier versions of JD

@Kov123: Check Settings-Plugins-search for youtube and modify filename pattern.
In case it doesn't work, please provide example links

I'm seeing the same thing. Yesterday things were fine, but today the same links I previously downloaded only show a subtitle track and no mp4 or m4a track.

It appears inconsistent thought. Most people with regular channels videos show fine. But music video channels are where I'm seeing the problem currently like:

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

and it looks like VEVO channels as well.

Maybe some changes to how these channels work? I dunno.

Default Link grabber not picking up YouTube video

The link grabber has suddenly stopped picking up the video and audio file links from Youtube.
It only picks up a jpg and txt link.
It does the same on multiple links I've tried, but here a couple for example:

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

Interestingly, the links I posted earlier still don't give the video information, but this one does:

I updated earlier and no new updates are showing, but still problems, but maybe something is not being updated. Should the Youtube extensions have updated?

Ok, so I restarted JD after a download finished and now it's working. So must have had some other non-restarting update happen earlier but required a restart to work.

Why Jdownloader 2.0 is using so much CPU resource 60% now since the last update?.-

@maurigalarza: there has been no changes with recent updates that could cause this high cpu. Please provide more information and example links.

Default JD2 no longer rips Youtube content?

Is it just me, or has Youtube found a way to not allow us to rip videos from there site? In the past it has been so easy, and seamless. Today when I really need it, it doesn't work. Now all you get is a jpeg and a doc file. Please tell me there is a work around for this??

This broke and was fixed over the weekend. Update JD. If you are up-to-date, you may just need to restart anyway. That's how it was for me.

Don't know exactly. Could it be that it's broken again? jDownloader responses with

"Ein Fehler ist aufgetreten" - "Plugin veraltet" ----- something like outdated Plugin? Is that the right translation??

Default Linkgrabber doesn't process some Youtube links

Two examples:

**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**

I can download almost any other YT video just fine, but those don't work for some reason. Why's that?

EDIT: works fine after update.

Please make sure that your JDownloader is up2date. There has been an update about 2 weeks ago and in case you haven't updated/used JDownloader since then, then you have to update JDownloader first

Youtube released new obfuscated JS player. This needs to checked and plugins needs to be updated

Either them find out how the player works or we do. Until the new player is understood, some videos won't work
It seems they rolling out the changes for all kind of videos, so expect more and more videos to fail

This time and the last time this was fixed, JD would show no further updates needed yet still required a restart to begin working. I'm not sure how it works but if there's a way to flag changes as requiring a restart you should do it for the Youtube fixes.

@kdean:JDownloader informs about pending updates with blinking update button in toolbar by default. Maybe you have oversaw that or changed your settings?

That's not it. All updates were applied. I even clicked the update button just in case to make sure there were no new updates, but regardless the youtube videos wouldn't grab links correctly until I restarted anyway. Perhaps the plugin files are updated but the in memory versions are not being refreshed.

If there's an advanced setting that would affect whether restarts are needed, let me know. Whenever the update button blinks, clicking it always triggers a restart for me.

In case it makes a difference, I'm running MacOS and Java 8.

Maybe the plugin settings should show the currently loaded version number or date/time for each plugin so we can have something to check against.

Thanks for the feedback. There are plugin updates that don't require a restart of JDownloader and can be installed/applied in background. But for the yt plugin, there was a core update required and I forgot to deploy a core update and that's why it didn't work in the first place. I realized that later (after I wrote that it is fixed). I guess that was causing the confusion.

Hello,
any clue why I cannot download this:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
JD, updated, says it's a host problem and size is unknown.
Than you

Default Youtube 'protected' video - can't download

JD 2 is generally working fine for me with youtube videos. But this one has the 'sensitive content' entry warning, and though I can watch it via youtube, JD2 can only see the small document, image and holster files. Not the actual video.
I've tried all these links, with no luck:
**External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
