@jdboy6: You can change variante to NON AV1 and last time I tested AV1 it worked fine. So please provide log, so I can check why ffmpeg fails for you. Tested and working fine with ffmpeg 3.4.6

Ah! Now works. I used the Hola! extension on Google Chrome, set Youtube.com to a random country, then copy/pasted the link and it works.

When i download a playlist, it sometimes downloads the same video for multiple videos even though the names are correct. It's occured on different playlists.

e.g.
Playlist
video-x.mp4(Normal)
video-y.mp4(Identical to video-x except name)
video-z.mp4(Identical to video-x except name)

Also, trying to manually redownload the right videos individually after this occurs still results in the wrong video. I did have success adding a totally different/random video then redownloading the videos.

So i need to change my version of ffmpeg ?

In JD2 plugins, at "YouTube" settings i have all lines with the "Video codec = AV1" in RED

Noticed today that even with it set to JD2 is not grabbing Youtube 480p links. Grabs 360p, 720p, & 1080p just fine.

Example youtube link this happened with:

youtube-dl hat gleich 1080p runterladen können. Und JD erst heute morgen.

P.S. Ich befürchte das Video wird schon offline sein, bis du meinen Beitrag liest, es sollte noch ein paar Stunden abrufbar sein. Leider nicht länger.

Since May 13th, my youtube titles aren't working properly. My video file format is:

*CHANNELNAME* - *DATE[yyyy-MM-dd]* - *VIDEO_NAME*.*EXT*

But the files come across as:

- -

Basically, the youtube naming props aren't resolved properly. No changes have been made on my end. I disabled all my scripts to be sure, and it's the same outcome. Am I the only one with this issue? I'm on the latest version as of this post.

Übrigens seit dem letzten Update (ca. vor 1 Stunde) bekomme ich die Dateien von YT nur ohne Namen, nur in dieser Form:
_1080p.mp4
_720p.mp4
(Deutsch_ASR).srt
(Englisch_ASR).srt
Ohne Beschreibung-Datei und (soweit ich sehe) nicht mit allen Subtitles. Das betrifft alle YT-Videos, die ich probiert habe.
Ob es mit dem Update zu tun hat, weiß ich natürlich nicht, es hat aber zeitlich nach dem Update angefangen.

Since today, the customization of the Youtube videos doesn't work anymore.
I've tried to change it but nothing works
I still can download the videos, but without having their titles (at least automatically).

I believe I have the latest version of JDownloader.
Maybe Youtube changed something and the plugin doesn't work anymore?

I have the same problem, since approximately 6 p.m. today. The names look like this by all Youtube-videos:

_720p.mp4
(Deutsch_ASR).srt
(Englisch_ASR).srt
No txt-File as well.
Has YT changed something or it concerned the update (Update was also about 6 pm today for JD2, Windows 8)?

it requires the mdp support in order to get access to the other qualities. yt moved some qualities into that delivery medium.

JD doesn't "see" this link.

I cannot generate JD Log, maybe I need to restart my JD app... but, what could be the issue ? JD doesnt see this completely. I had 8 links, found by a search on that channel, and only 7/8 were detected well. This one was not. I suppose only uadio could be detectable, but I have a filter that ignores all the "NON-video" links (just general filter, not exact by format or whatever..).

Alright, please ignore it, sorry. Very very very abnormal situation. After hmm...20minutes? or more... the link was added in JD... very weird...

2 issues:

FIRST:

I want to find all videos that are "video" and which title contains this phrase: "grimmie".

If I choose to search directly on this YT channel, it comes out that there are a few videos there.

But if I try to use JD, it lasts forever.. over 20k links were checked and.. the link grabber is still working on it !!!

Is there a way to make it faster ?

I copied/pasted links into my browser, and indeed links are blocked in my country (now connection through Zurich anyway). But how do I know which countries are allowed for this movie ?

And one more thing, just a question, I have a link: **External links are only visible to Support Staff**... - look aat the "query" parameter - is there a possibility, that JD could download by this parameter, if found in URL, instead of doing this manually using filters ? THIRD issue:

Something is wrong with filters... I suppose...

I have two filters. One is to filter non-video files, second is to filter titles without phrase "grimmie".

So I tried for instance this channel: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff** - no video was detected.

Then tried every video - 3 videos on this channel only - with the test field, where I can test if my filtering rules really work.
So of course one video worked - this one: **External links are only visible to Support Staff****External links are only visible to Support Staff**
But why it didn't work with the link grabber ? It worked only with the test field, just below the whole list of filters (where is a "play" button at the very right side).

PS.Issue number 2 has been solved. While connecting through Poland, I could finally download files. So 1 and 3 left. But... Would be better if there was an information about what is going on instead of just "video unavailable", for instance: "country restrictions" or something.

35 videos... Link grabber works really weird, look at screenshots attached.

In fact, in effect, only 12 videos were downloaded (screenshots say that links are same and only mirrors are downloaded ?? wtf..).

Also look at file names while link grabber is working. What is going on with this ?

Alright, I know what the problem with "fourth issue" is - here the link grabber is NOT somehow checking for files availability.
It looks a bit weird, what in effect it does is completely not "renamed" filenames on the link grabber list.
So if I manually update all grabbed files (for instance from YT channel), titles are renamed - properly, from YT channel, and every single file is separately downloaded (no overriden filenames).
So taht is the point. So the issue with the fourth point is that YT links titles are not really updated at start, while link grabber works...

In the third issue I wrote about problem with filters.
As much as I can say - look at my screenshot below, what kind of filter I did use - if I add (copy) the link from a YT page - a single link - the link grabber takes EVERYTHING (not only what the grabber "wants").
While if I add a playlist - the link grabber does not take ANYTHING - so it won't get any videos at all....
How the link grabber works - as AND or as OR ?
How to change the behaviour, form OR to AND ? Because as for now I see it's acting weirdly, like there was no filter at all..

Downloading entire channels either creates a package for a single file or creates one package with every single video/file on the channel with the title of a video on that channel. Hopefully there's a fix soon.

1.) there is no search/filter available for your use case. You should prefilter/search and not add complete playlist (which might take LONG time) and then search!
2.) we don't know either and I don't think that this information is available to public at all.

it is the first and only link from Youtube being added for more than hours...

What do You mean by "prefilter" ?
I go to YT channel, then I do a search by writing a phrase in the search field, then pushing ENTER - voilla, I have let's say 50 search results.

What's next? How to add these 50 results only to JD ?
Because JD doesn't understand the "query" parameter in the YT URL.

correct! JDownloader doesn't support/make use of the query parameter
You will have to select the links and then copy to clipboard
