Default Need to download ".dx2", ".sit" and ".hqx" file types.

How do I add extensions for it to detect in the link grabber?
When I copy links to files with these extensions it ignores them.

Please advise.

this is not a bug, we dont listen to all file extensions.

you will need to edit the directhttp hoster plugin class
or
just add the urls with direct**External links are only visible to Support Staff** + link

What file is the "directhttp hoster plugin class" in?

In Linkgrabber Filter I tried to edit the "Direct HTTP" rule but it doesn't allow for editing.

I also created a rule to try and have it detect links with those extensions but that doesn't work either.

It would be nice if there was a setting for the Linkgrabber to allow you to specify other extensions. If I have to add the URLs manually then I could just download them without JDownloader.

I appreciate the reply.

you can create linkcrawler rules to add support for other extensions in that manner by DIRECTHTTP rule. Quick google and you can find examples.

Believe Jiaz did make change to directhttp for those obscure file extensions.

I've added those 3 extensions to directhttp plugin. Updated JDownloader is able to catch those files automatically.
In case you need additional file extensions, either report them here or your can use Linkcrawler Rules and teach JDownloader how to handle them

I need to add "chd" and "adf" file types but my Linkcrawler Rule doesn't seem to be working.

What am I doing wrong? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Wait for next plugin update. I've added those extension to plugin.
You're not creating a linkcrawler rule but a filter rule.

Great! Thanks...

I was curious and downloaded the source and eclipse and was able to add them to the plugin. Not sure how to compile the jar file but it does seem to run in debug mode.

It would be nice to have all of these extensions in a setting somewhere so that they could be adjusted without having to recompile every time some obscure file extension needs to be detected and directly downloaded.

I'm going to try to get familiar with the code to see what I can do to help.

You don't have to compile the jar. Just take the .class files that belong to your plugin and replace the ones in your standalone installation, eg jd/plugins/hoster or jd/plugins/decrypter

You can either let JDownloader *auto-learn* those extensions by PASTING a single direct download url into JDownloader or creating a linkcrawler rule manually.
