This time youtube-dl is able to download the DASH-variants, which makes the "dupe"-removal of these variants by JD2 even weirder.

still can't get 256kbps audio with JD2. 192kbps aac grabbed as best audio(demux from 720p video); and 128kbit aac audio grabbed as best audio for 1080p/720p/480p/360p(DASH),192kbps aac audio grabbed as best audio for 720p(non-DASH).
only settings changed:yandex dns 77.88.8.1_77.88.8.8(I cannot access youtube if no dns/proxy/vpn/hosts file.)(before youtube not blocked in my country 256kbps grabbed without problem.)

but sometimes 256kbps grabbed (unofficial pages usually)(for vevo:always 128kbps)

The new updates loaded today and now when I copy a YouTube link the module decrypt-youtube.com: /watch module starts and never ends. It just sits there mocking me.

What can I do to help it finish?

I just went back to JD to get the info requested. The module was still running.

When I copied the link to the clipboard the paste into this message JD grabbed it and it worked. I still have the 1 module running, though.

Hopefully, when i close and restart JD all will be well. If not, I'll let you know.

When downloading a lot of stuff from youtube, jdownloader 2 will wait to merge the streams of the current download before starting downloading the next item - is there a way to have it download the next video at the same time the streams from the last are merged?

When downloading a DASH-variant, it stops in the middle of downloading the audio-stream (only 6 of ~10MB are downloaded), and JD2 enters an infinite retrying-loop.

youtube-dl downloads it fine, but probably with a "lower" quality audiostream of only ~5MB. Probably different itag, again.

Hello. Thanks for the great program!

I'm having a problem with JD2 not finding FFmpeg. It was working fine until I updated.

When I try to download a YT video, the Active Task column says Starting, then FFmpeg Setup, then Starting, then Skipped - FFmpeg missing.

I tried the following:
- deleting cfg files with youtube in the name
- reinstalling JD2
- updating java
- reinstalling in a new location
- running ffmpeg in cmd window
- downloading FFmpeg separately and changing the Binary Path

After I reinstalled JD2, I went through the setup process for downloading FFmpeg. But when I checked the advanced settings, the Binary Path said NULL. I manually added the FFmpeg location. Not working.

umm...Not sure what else to do. Any suggestions? Thanks!

:outch: I cannot seem to find this information in the search. But does anyone know how to change the default audio bitrate with DASH? When I download Youtube videos, even though I changed the bitrate for the audio file in LinkGrabber, the mp4 video (480p) still has 256Kbps audio. Is there any way to change this?

In the past, when I did a deep link analyze of a youtube URL, JDownloader was able to download all the videos from that URL. Now, it can only download a maximum of 25 videos.

Edit: Sorry, I should have said that in the past, deep link analyze was able to list all the videos for a youtube URL in JDownloader's LinkGrabber. Now LinkGrabber only lists a maximum of 25 videos, even though that youtube URL has much more than 25 videos.

Is this a bug in JDownloader, or has something changed on youtube?

OK, I think I know what the problem is! This type of URL works fine:

This type of URL only gives a maximum of 25 videos:

So it looks like JDownloader is not able to list more than 25 videos in LinkGrabber for youtube channels maybe?

i set jd2 to ask me if a file name already exists, now this dont always work

if you initially dl these links simultanously off youtube it loads only one (probably overwrites), only if you already have it, it asks

would be advisable if you placed the video ID within the filename, this would prevent this from happening. See settings > plugins > youtube, change the customisable filename.

I'll let coalado know reguardless if you decide to use video ID in the filename or not, it might have something todo with custom download core for this plugin to support dash.
