Keeping captcha image files in captcha folder
Is there any way to prevent JD from deleting those? I have a few subfolders (with host names) and some have a few files inside them while others only have one. It's very inconsistent.
I want to keep ALL captchas in those folders. Is that possible? |

Why would you want to keep them?
I'm sorry but that is not possible and I don't see any reasons to make this possible. Here is what you could do though: 1. Use an external "sync programm" to sync that folder in one direction whenever it contains new files. (Probably the easiest solution.) or: 2. Grab our source code and create your own JD build that never deletes those files.

Wouldn't that be good for building a database for automated captcha solvers? For instance, Rapidgator has been using the same set of captchas for years (I even recognize some of them). They are made up of English words and sentences, not random characters or anything like that.

We did that years ago but now we're not putting any time into it. Especially since most popular websites were changing their captchas once we've added automated captcha recognition for them. So my recommendation is: If you successfully make a captcha recognization for a popular website, keep the user-base low
