Default retry errors

Suggestion:
option for "retry errors"

What it would do:
while downloading, if JD reaches bottom of queue and errors exist then JD reset status of all error files, wait 5 minutes, start downloading from top again.

Reason:
If file requires captcha and user was away from computer at the time then file gets flagged as error. Users aren't at computer continuously so this problem requires user to always double check JD, and reset files that user missed. The retry option would help make the downloading process easier.

Other reason is JD sometimes flags files as errors, when the problem is temporary. For example is user isp is having problem or host is having problem. In these cases the file would download correctly at a later time, but currently user has to manually do this. Option would help avoid this problem because it would be automated.

Such errors should actually be handled correctly.
If this doesn't work for you we need example links and logs (maybe also screenshots)!

Cool

@her34

Please, search on "automatic retry" in the board and you'll find a bunch of threads discussing the same issue. At this time there are 17 threads.

Just to summarize the best of the discussions. JD needs standardized error messages in just a few categories. The error handling has to be changed to properly deal with each category.

For example, Server Busy (all slots are full and so on) should result in a delay and a retry (the delay increases with each failure). Trying the next link should also be after a delay.

Missing dialogues (including Captcha challenges) should mark the link as User Needed. The next time the user responds to something, all User Needed messages should be erased, so that the links are now available again.
