Problems downloading (easybytez)
Hi, I'll report some problems I'm having after recent updates and easybytez (it's the only premium i have).
Before I could set how many simultaneous downloads I wanted, and I could force a file to download by the dx mouse menu. Now nevermind the max simultaneous downloads set, It will always download max 5, Force download stopped working, and it never begin a new download in list if all the previous 5 downloads don't finish (if a file finishes before the other ones, the downloads step down to 4, then to 3 etc). I have tried in multiple Pcs and the result is the same. Please tell me if it's possible to do something. Thanks |

Did you check that the account is still premium/valid?

thanks for your reply.
Yes, I'm still premium and I download at full bandwidth, but for some reasons my settings are overrided |

What settings do you mean?

Max simultaneous download (whatever I set it downloads five), Force download not working and as I said, If one of the 5 downloads finishes first, jd never begins another one until all five have finished.
I tried both on win and mac. Same result. |

I tried on the old 0.9.581 and there it works (but it's outdated for everything else)

Can we do a teamviewer session? I would like to see/check myself. Nothing changed in JDownloader, so must be something in your side

Hello! I've got the exact same issue and in addition to this, when downloads behave like this, they are super slow! I can download at about 3,5mb/s max but when this happen each download goes at 50kb/sec...I think it depends on which server hosts the files and the bandwidth availability, because maybe after a bit...on other files....boom!

I will soon add tooltip info to show from what server the download comes from. So one can check if all slow downloads come from same server

I also have the same problems as bugnotme, so I think the issue is not solved.
I'm premium on easybytez, and can't dw more than 5 files at once, and also all 5 files must complete the dw before other files (of easybytez only, other sites works well) can start the dw, and this is the most important, as if there's a slow dw in the 5 files group, I must wait till all 5 are completed. Never tried the Force download option. This is not a problem of the last days, are already many weeks that I see this issue. Also as Murderdoll says, some files of easybytez are fast but other are very slow (100-200KB), and restarting the slow files don't change the speed. This maybe a problem with some of easybytez's servers. |

@Steele
hoster as asked us to limit free/premium downloads to 5 sim due to server load issues. If you would like more speed adjust chunk setting. chunks * max siml dl = total connections. raztoki

JDownloader now shows the used server for downloading in connection column tooltip. There you can compare and find out if all slow files are on slow servers.

Many thanks to raztoki and Jiaz.
The server in use is very useful, I'll monitor it with my next dls. @raztoki: But still remain the bug that no new dl starts until all 5 are completed, or is part of the deal with easybytez? |

They asked us to limit to 5 concurrent downloads because they had server issues/overload problems

the actual problem is that even with this restriction, it should keep always 5 concurrent downloads, starting a new one as soon as a download is finished. Now, instead it has to complete all 5 downloads before starting 5 new ones (in this case the last one or two remaining could have less speed rate). There's something you can do? Thanks |

Are we talking about concurrent downloads or connections? You say it has to finish all running downloads first before the next download starts?

Exactly.
I'll make an example: I have a movie with 100 parts in queue. JD starts downloading 5 parts concurrently. Every download isn't obviously going at the same speed, so one finishes before the others. At this point there are 4 concurrent downloads, so it should start the next one in queue, going to 5 but it doesn't. It waits from 4 to 3 than to 2 etc. When every one of that 5 downloads finish, it begins downloading at the same time the next 5, and so goes on. |

Thats not how the code works within the plugin
slot opens when current download commences finallink download > opens another slot > continues until max sim dl of 5 is reached. When a download is finished another should start straight away, it shouldn't wait until the first 5 finish before starting the next five. raztoki

easybytes controlling code hasn't changed in year(s), my advice
- restart client if you're having issues. the connection values are kept in memory. - if you using accounts, create account usage rules for easybytez, disable modes that you're not using. This will prevent unwanted free mode starting when account modes are restricted. raztoki

So the chunk solution is actually working great now....full bandwidth utilization! thanks for that suggestion! there still is the other problem...I could take screenshots but...they would not proof the issue :D once the first of the 5 transfer stops the other keeps going on and finish one by one before the next batch starts.

News
Hi, I'd like to know if there are some news for this problem...
Even in my case, when I have 5 concurrent downloads, It doesn't start a new one as soon as a download is finished. Iinstead it has to complete all 5 downloads before starting 5 new ones, so if one is slower than the other, It waits to complete this and THAN start new downloads... |
